I am thrilled to be a part of the awesome coaching staff of the mighty Circle C Seals! Summer league swimming has been an important part of my life. I swam on a summer league team in Tucson, AZ, every summer from age 6 through 17, even after joining a year-round team in middle school. Summer league is why I fell in love with swimming, learning to have fun, racing fast, improving technique, making my best friends, and being a good sport.
I built on this foundation to achieve much success during my swimming career including AZ High School Champion, US National Champion, NCAA Champion and former American Record Holder. I’ve won medals at the Pan American Games, Goodwill Games, World Championships, and a silver medal in the 2004 Olympics in Athens.
Since retiring from swimming after the Olympics I have remained active in the sport hosting clinics and working at the swim camp of my alma mater, the University of Texas (Public Relations, 2001). I still swim, but enjoy running on Town Lake or in the neighborhood, doing yoga, Barre3, Orange Theory, and weight training. My goal is to help all of our Seals improve their swimming technique, learn to work hard, set goals, have fun, and most of all develop a love for the sport of swimming.
I have been swimming since I was four years old, continuing to year round swimming when I was 10. I swam freshman year of high school until I had surgery for a shoulder problem. After many years of physical therapy and a second surgery followed by more physical therapy I am back into swimming! I loved swimming for Olivet Nazarene University. I recently graduated with a BS in Child Development. Swimming is my passion and will always be a part of my life.
After moving around a lot when I was younger, my family relocated to Austin and I joined the Seals Swim Team at age 11. I swam on Seals until I was 18, as well as Circle C Select and Bowie Swim Team. I now attend the University of Texas at Austin studying psychology. Children and swimming are two of my passions and I strive to share these loves of mine with this incredible team. This will be my 5th year as an assistant coach for the Seals. I am very excited for the upcoming season!
I have been swimming since I was 4 years old. I have been swimming competitively since I was 8. Over the years I have corrected and improved my strokes with the help of many amazing coaches who have all been able to lead me into the swimmer and the person I am today. Swimming has been a large part of my life and I hope it is here to stay. I am currently on the Bowie High school swim team, and was a swimmer for Austin Swim Club. I have had the ability with both of these swim teams to see first hand how swimming affects people's lives for the better!
I started swimming lessons at the age of four, but it wasn’t until I was 6, when I joined summer league that I fell in love with the sport. I have swam for Dick Nichols, Nitro, Bowie and the Seals. I can tell you the Seals family is by far my favorite and has help to foster my love for the sport. This will be my ninth year on the Seals team and it feels like a family to me. For the past two years I have volunteered as a Jr. Coach. Nothing makes me happier than getting a hug or a high five from the little kids, and knowing I am keeping the sport alive. I hope I can be a role model to them that all the Seals coaches have been to me.
In Seals, I was named the kid "most likely to become a fish" and since then, I've spent my summers swimming and having a blast. I also enjoyed competing on the Circle C Select team for many seasons. Next year, I will be a senior at Westlake High School, where I currently participate in cross-country and ultimate frisbee. I particularly enjoy learning Latin and totally geek out about Roman myths and epics. I love the color blue, pineapples, and turtles. I'm so happy to be coaching this year and contributing to such an awesome program that means so much to me.
Hello Seals! I've been a part of the Seals family for going on ten years and couldn't be more excited for another great season. I have been swimming competitively since I was 6. I am currently swimming on the Bowie High School team and in the past I have swam club for Circle C select. I'm proud to be a part of the Seals team and I am looking forward to working with you this summer.
I am finishing my freshman year at Bowie High School and a member of the Bowie swim and soccer teams. I have been a member of the Seals for 7 years, and I have been a volunteer coach for the past 3. I have enjoyed great times with the Seals and am looking forward to a fantastic season.
