I am thrilled to be a part of the awesome coaching staff of the mighty Circle C Seals! Summer league swimming has been an important part of my life. I swam on a summer league team in Tucson, AZ, every summer from age 6 through 17, even after joining a year-round team in middle school. Summer league is why I fell in love with swimming, learning to have fun, racing fast, improving technique, making my best friends, and being a good sport.
During my swimming career I was an Arizona High School Champion, US National Champion, NCAA Champion and former American Record Holder. I’ve won medals at the Pan American Games, Goodwill Games, World Championships, and a silver medal in the 2004 Olympics in Athens.
Since retiring from swimming after the Olympics I have remained active in the sport hosting clinics and working at the swim camp of my alma mater, the University of Texas (Public Relations, 2001). I swim Masters, but enjoy weight training and walking my two dogs. My goal is to help all of our Seals improve their swimming technique, learn to work hard, set goals, have fun, and most of all develop a love for the sport of swimming.
Hey Seals, I’m Emma! I’m so excited to be coaching for the BEST TEAM IN AUSTIN! I’ve been swimming for seals since I was 6 years old, and I absolutely love this team. I’ve also swam for Circle C Select, Austin Swim Club, and Bowie High School. I love love love this sport and the different team aspects involved with Seals, and I’m so stoked to help show the kids how to swim FAST, have fun, and learn all about the different levels of competition and sportsmanship involved with swimming! I can’t wait to be an AWESOME cheerleader and an AWESOME coach this year!
Hi Seals! I’m Coach Kylee! I’m a current senior at Bowie High School and will be attending Texas A&M in the fall for nursing. I’ve been swimming for as long as I can remember. My mom always tells me about how as babies, my sister and I would jump in the pool and pop right back up to the top with big smiles on our faces over and over again all day long. We started swim lessons when we were two years old, and I’ve been swimming with Seals since I was six! I’ve also swam year-round since fifth grade with Circle C Select, ASC, and Bowie High School. I can’t wait to coach for seals and get this season started! Seals is what put the love of swimming in my heart, so it’s an honor to carry that on for these kiddos. I’m so excited to teach the sport I love; swim has given me so much, so I can’t wait to pass that on to these kiddos. I hope I can be a coach like the ones I used to look up to as a little seal. Can’t wait to meet everyone!! GO SEALS!!!
Hi! I’m Coach Grace! I am super excited for this seals season! I am currently a sophomore at Veritas Academy and a lifeguard for Circle C. I have been a part of seals since I was six years old! This team means so much too me as it has been a key part of my childhood. I love spending time with kids and I find so much joy in working with them to improve! Go Seals!
Hi! My name is Lily Florance, I joined the Circle C Seals when I was 8 years old in the summer of 2014. Now I am 16 years old, and I am wrapping up my sophomore year at James Bowie High School. I am so excited to be coaching the same swim team that taught me how to be a good competitor, a teammate, to make new friends, and most of all, how to be a strong swimmer! Go Seals!
Hi y'all! I’m Coach Jillian! I’m so excited for this upcoming season! I’m about to head into my senior year at Bowie! It was when I joined competitive swim for Circle C Select at seven years old when my swimming journey started but it was Seals that cultivated my love for the sport. I’ve been a part of Seals as a swimmer for the past 8 years (not including the year of Quarantine), alongside taking part in volunteer coaching for as long as I have been able to! Volunteer coaching was my absolute favorite aspect of summer league, as watching the kids grow is so heartwarming! Although I no longer swim competitively, swimming will always hold a place in my heart and I hope to spread that as a coach this season! I hope to be a role model for the younger seals as prior coaches have been for me, and to build up their confidence and love for swimming! Go Seals!
Hey y'all, my name is Lily. I am a current senior at Ann Richards and will be attending University of Texas at Austin in the fall for Business Management. I've been swimming on the Circle C Seals from when I was 7 through 18. I swam on my school team, ARS Starfish for all four years of high school. Being apart of the Seals and Starfish is the reason why I fell in love with swimming. Swimming has a special place in my heart and I am so stoked to be coaching this year. I look forward to working with all the kiddos, and teaching them to work hard, be kind to one another and to have lots of fun. And hopefully they'll fall in love with this sport as much as I have. :) GO SEALS!!!
Hey Seals! I am so excited to start my first year coaching for this amazing team! I have been swimming for the seals for the past eight years now, ever since I was 8, and it is how I fell in love with the sport! I have been swimming ever since, for both the seals and a club swim team. I am so excited to share my love for the sport with all of the little seals on the team, and can hopefully be a role model to the swimmers the same way the other seals coaches have guided me and encouraged me during my eight years on this team. I have been a junior coach on the team prior to all the pandemic craziness, and I’m so happy I get to start coaching again this year! We are going to have an amazing season, and I am so thrilled to have the opportunity to get to know all of the swimmers and watch on as they grow to love swimming the same way I do.
Hey Seals! This is my 11th year with the Seals, and I am thrilled to be coaching this year. My swimming career began with the Seals when I was 7 years old. Seals gave me a passion for swimming, and it led me to fall in love with the sport. After years of competitive swimming, I will be wrapping up my swimming career with the Seals this summer. It feels only right that my last swim meet as a competitor will be where it all started ... Seals! I just graduated from Bowie High School, and I will be attending Baylor University in the fall to study nursing. Go Seals!
