I am thrilled to be a part of the awesome coaching staff of the mighty Circle C Seals! Summer league swimming has been an important part of my life. I swam on a summer league team in Tucson, AZ, every summer from age 6 through 17, even after joining a year-round team in middle school. Summer league is why I fell in love with swimming, learning to have fun, racing fast, improving technique, making my best friends, and being a good sport.
During my swimming career I was an Arizona High School Champion, US National Champion, NCAA Champion and former American Record Holder. I’ve won medals at the Pan American Games, Goodwill Games, World Championships, and a silver medal in the 2004 Olympics in Athens.
Since retiring from swimming after the Olympics I have remained active in the sport hosting clinics and working at the swim camp of my alma mater, the University of Texas (Public Relations, 2001). I still swim, but enjoy running on Town Lake or in the neighborhood, doing yoga, Barre3, Orange Theory, and weight training. My goal is to help all of our Seals improve their swimming technique, learn to work hard, set goals, have fun, and most of all develop a love for the sport of swimming.
I have been swimming since I was four years old, continuing to year round swimming when I was 10. I swam freshman year of high school until I had surgery for a shoulder problem. After many years of physical therapy and a second surgery followed by more physical therapy I got back into swimming! I loved swimming for Olivet Nazarene University. I recently graduated with a BS in Child Development. Swimming is my passion and will always be a part of my life. I am now attending A&M commerce pursing my dream, going for a degree in nursing. I am so excited to be coaching for my 10th season! I can't wait for another great season!
After moving around a lot when I was younger, my family relocated to Austin and I joined the Seals Swim Team at age 11. I swam on Seals until I was 18, as well as Circle C Select and Bowie Swim Team. I now attend the University of Texas at Austin studying psychology. Children and swimming are two of my passions and I strive to share these loves of mine with this incredible team. This will be my 6th year as an assistant coach for the Seals. I am very excited for the upcoming season!
I started swimming lessons at the age of four, but it wasn’t until I was 6, when I joined summer league that I fell in love with the sport. I have swam for Dick Nichols, Nitro, Bowie and the Seals. I can tell you the Seals family is by far my favorite and has help to foster my love for the sport. This will be my tenth year on the Seals team and it feels like a family to me. For two years volunteered as a Jr. Coach. Nothing makes me happier than getting a hug or a high five from the little kids, and knowing I am keeping the sport alive. I hope I can be a role model to them that all the Seals coaches have been to me. I can’t wait to see all the kids ready to jump in the water, and I am counting down the days till champs so I can see how many people are ready to dye their hair with me!
Hello Seals! I've been a part of the Seals family for going on eleven years and couldn't be more excited for another great season. I have been swimming competitively since I was 6. I am currently swimming on the Bowie High School team and in the past I have swam club for Circle C select. I'm proud to be a part of the Seals team and I am looking forward to working with you this summer.
I am finishing my Sophmore year at Bowie High School and a member of the Bowie Swim & Dive team. I have been a member of the Seals for 8 years, and this will be my second year on the Coaching Staff. I have enjoyed great times with the Seals and am looking forward to a fantastic season.
I began swimming summer league in Austin in middle school, first for the Circle C Seals, and then for the Granada Hills/Western Oaks Dolphins after following my high school swim coach there. In high school, I swam for Veritas Academy in the 100 backstroke, 100 freestyle, 200 medley relay, and 400 freestyle relay. I was lucky enough to compete at the TAPPS Division 3A swim meet all 4 years in at least one of these events, due to the small nature of my private school and all of the opportunities that it provided me. The first two summers after graduating high school, I coached summer league for the Lakepointe Lazers, and loved learning about summer league from the coaching/administrative side there! I am currently a junior Nursing major at Belmont University in Nashville, TN, where I have been coaching swimming at Nashville Aquatic Club for two years in both of their SwimFit and PreComp programs. On campus, I am also a Student Leader at the Department of Fitness and Recreation for the Group Fitness program, where I teach both strength and spinning classes alongside overseeing the training of all future group fitness instructors. I am excited to return to my hometown and neighborhood swim team, and can't wait to see how far it's come since I first joined as a little girl! I look forward to meeting everyone soon when the summer league season begins!
I joined the Circle C Seals when I moved to Austin in the third grade and swam on Seals until I was seventeen. In between that time, I also swam with Circle C Select and was on the Bowie High School swim team all four years, with the privilege of being a captain my senior year. Aside from my own swimming experience, I’ve taught swim lessons at neighborhood community pools, Emler Swim School, and in my own backyard. It seems that when a chapter in my life involving swimming closes, another one opens - I just can’t seem to put it aside! One of my favorite things about swimming, that my dad always told me growing up, is that you’re always competing against the clock and yourself. I love that swimming allows you to be on a team and bond with others, but that it also pushes you to believe in yourself and challenge yourself to do things you never thought you could. After graduating from high school, I spent time doing volunteer work abroad before heading to St. Edward’s University where I am now, studying Social Work and Journalism. I’m very passionate about people and think there is so much to learn from others, so I am very excited to meet everyone this summer and to join them on their swimming journey!
My swimming career and my love of swimming began at the age of 8 with the Circle C Seals. I currently swim with my club team, Western Hills Athletic Club (WHAC) and I’m also a member of the Bowie High School Swim Team. Over the years I’ve been very fortunate to receive some great advice about technique from many different coaches. I can’t wait to share some of these techniques with the team! This is my first year on the coaching staff and I’m looking forward to a great season!
I have been swimming on seals since I was 6 or 7. Seals was a concrete part of my childhood, and was an annual swimming season I could look forward to. I have enjoyed meeting other teammates, older and younger, throughout my years here and continue to be surprised at how happy coming back to the team makes me. I am currently on the LBJ swim team as well, and am going to LASA high school. I am super excited to officially coach my first year with y’all!
I joined summer league when I was four, instantly falling in love with swimming and the community around a summer league swim team. Currently, I am swimming for LASA/LBJ and I have just finished my sophomore year, and I still love swimming just as much as I did 12 years ago. I joined Seals last year and volunteered coached, and while I was new comer, I made instant friends with so many people of all ages. Nothing is more rewarding than cheering on teammate who share the same passion for swimming that I have. I am excited to be a part of the team for another season. Go SEALS!
