Swimmer of the Week June 13- 17th


Week #7

June 13-17, 2017

Session 1:

Ian Hoard: Ian has really impressed the coaches lately with his amazing racing skills. He works hard in practice and it really shows at meets. He made it to the A relay and does his 25 free and fly without a breath!

Session 2:

Sam Abrameit: Sam works hard in practice and is always encouraging and

congratulatory to his teammates. The coaches have noticed during practice how kind and encouraging he is!

Session 3:

Rhett Cox: Rhett is always a joy at practice. He never misses practice and never fails to work hard! He wasn't legal in butterfly in the beginning of the season and worked hard and was able to get 2 legal times!

Session 4:

Jadon Demetri: Jadon's hard work has really stood out to the coaches. He works hard in every practice and gives his all at meets. He has been dropping time and

racing well. We are all so impressed with his improvements this year!

Session 5:

Wes Wasserburger: Wes is such a pleasure to have in practice. He works hard and encourages his teammates to do the same. When he shows up he is focused and ready to do his best. He also shows excellent sportsmanship to teammates and other teams.


Week 6

Session 1:

  • Rowan Lusk: Rowan is always a joy to have in practice. She works really hard every time she is at practice and is very encouraging to her teammates. She has been swimming all season on a fractured ankle unaware of it, but pushed through the pain to swim!

Session 2:

  • Logan Jones: Logan has really stood out to the coaches this past week. She always works hard and has fun. Her hard work has really paid off lately and she has improved so much.

Session 3:

  • MiaClaire Mott: MiaClaire is so much fun to have in practice. She always has a smile on her face and is ready to work hard at practice and meets. She is encouraging to her teammates and shows greats sportsmanship.

Session 4:

  • Fiona Tanis: Fiona has really stood out to the coaches lately, she is always a hard worker and this year she has really stepped up and helped with the younger seals. She is so fun to have at practice!

Session 5:

Jillian Kelly: Jillian is such a pleasure to have in practice. She never fails to work hard and do anything she can to improve. She is always asking coaches to help her improve so she can drop time. She has also been extremely helpful with the little seals in practice and meets.

Swimmer of the Week #5

Week 5

Session 1:

  • Grayden Warmink: Grayden has always been a great kiddo in practice. He stood out to the coaches specifically last week with how hard he works and his always positive attitude.

Session 2:

  • Ryan Lauchert: Ryan is always a hard worker in practice but really stood out to the coaches last week. He keeps his teammates on track in practice and is eager to work hard and have a great practice.

Session 3:

  • Chase Mahagan: Chase has improved so much this year in just 5 short weeks. He is new to swimming and was understandably hesitant and nervous. Last week he was a whole new swimmer and is so eager to practice, work hard and have fun

Session 4:

  • Ari Sharma: Ari has done so well this season and always works really hard. He is always at practice ready to have fun and work hard. He keeps his teammates on track no matter how full the lanes are.

Session 5:

  • Carson Powers: Carson swam with seals in the past and is back again. He fits right in like he never left. He works hard at every practice and it shows in meets. He is also helpful to us coaches with the younger kiddos at meets and practice. 

Swimmer of the Week #4

WEEK 4

Session 1:

  • Dacee Dinwiddie: Dacee is always a pleasure to have in practice. She is always at practice and ready to work hard. She always shows great sportsmanship cheering for all of her teammates at meets. She always stands out to the coaches and even parents at meets with her kindness.

Session 2:

  • Drew Marquart: Drew is new to seals this year and is such a joy to have in practice. She works really hard and is very encouraging to her teammates. This weekend she wanted to wait to go out of town with her family so she could swim at the meet Saturday.

Session 3:

  • Sylvie Tanis: Sylvie is also a fun kid to have in practice. She is always ready to work hard and have fun. She works really hard in practice and it shows in meets. This weekend she was not in a relay but was there cheering and was able to step up and swim in the relay when another swimmer couldn’t.

Session 4:

  • Megan McGauley: Megan is a joy to coach. She is always smiling and happy to be at practice. She works hard every time she is there and encourages her teammates to do the same. She listens to the coaches input and immediately works on what was said.

Session 5:

  • Elizabeth Meyers: Elizabeth is a former seal that is back with us this year. She is such a hard worker and always shows great sportsmanship. You will always see her cheering for her teammates at meets. She also comes to our earlier practices to help with the younger kiddos.

WEEK 3

Session 1:

Avery Archer: Avery is always a very hard worker in practice. She is at practice often and ready to work hard. She listens to the coaches well and always shows good sportsmanship.

Jackson Grosso: Jackson is always fun to have in practice. He works really hard and listens to the coaches well. Last week he stood out to some of the coaches with how hard he was working to improve his strokes.

Session 2:

Ashlyn Horek: Ashlyn is such a pleasure to have in practice. She is always smiling and always so encouraging to her teammates. She works really hard and shows great sportsmanship.

Oliver Ward: Oliver is a great role model for his fellow teammates. He comes to practice ready to work hard but also have fun. He is really good at encouraging his teammates and congratulating everyone.

Session 3:

Tess Roadman: Tess has really stood out to the coaches last week. She always works hard but last week especially. She is great at encouraging her teammates and also having fun.

Jake Tishgart: Jake stood out to our coaches last week with how hard he worked. He was listening to the coaches advice and took it to heart to improve his strokes.

Session 4:

Lauryn Cook: Lauryn is always a very hard worker. She is a great example for all her teammates with her work ethic and great sportsmanship. Lauryn stood out to many coaches last week.

Max Barr: Max is also a pleasure to have in practice. He works hard but also has fun. He listens to the coaches and works hard to improve his strokes. He had a great meet this weekend, the part we did get to swim.

Session 5:

Caroline Meyers: Caroline is such a joy to have in practice. She never fails to work hard and be a great example for others in her lane. She is always so polite and eager to have a good practice.

Evan Hadd: Evan is new to the seals and fits right in. He is always on time to practice and ready to get in and work hard. He is also a great encourager to other swimmers in his lane. 

WEEK 2

Session 1:

Brooke Abrameit: Brooke is always a joy to have in practice. She works really hard in practice and always has a smile on her face. Her hard work definitely shows during meets.

Nicholas Mazaraki: Nicholas is always a hard worker and great listener in practice. He is always eager to hear the coaches advice and quick to make changes to improve his technique.

Session 2:

Sadie Dauterive: Sadie is always a fun and bubbly addition to our practice. She is always smiling and enjoying practice. She is a great listener but also makes practice enjoyable for her and her teammates.

Nick Waldman: Nick is a very hard worker. He is really good at staying focused and on task at practice. He is also a joy to coach every day.

Session 3:

Audrey Berndt: This sweet girl is really fun to coach. She works really hard and makes great improvements daily. She was a new swimmer coming in and has done so well since we started.

Lucas Frost: Lucas is always a hard worker in every practice. He is eager to practice every day and do what he can to improve in his strokes. He listens to the coaches and quick to improve.

Session 4:

Lillian Hall: Lillian works very hard in every practice. She is eager to hear the coaches advice and immediately make those changes. She works really hard to make those improvements until she has accomplished them.

Jack Cook: Jack has been a pleasure in practice. He works really hard in practice every day. He has also shown up early to volunteer and help with the younger seals.

Session 5:

Charli Reed: We have coached Charli since she was 5 years old and she has made strives as a swimmer. Without a doubt she works really hard and gives practice everything she can.

Will Hoard: Will is also another hard worker. This year is his first year in the last session and he is doing really well. He fits right in with the older swimmers and does really well.

WEEK 1

Session 1:

Winnie D'Andrea: Winnie is a first time swimmer with the Seals and he has been working so hard and is a great teammate to others. He is always ready for practice and focused on doing his best.

Lillian Carroll (Scout) : Scout is also a new swimmer for Seals and she has been a pleasure to have in practice. She listens to the coaches really well and is ready to do what she can to improve her swimming.

Session 2:

Holland Thomas: Holland is also a new swimmer and she works very hard in practice even with a broken arm! If you saw her swimming you wouldn’t know she was injured because she pushes herself and has a great time.

Gavin Hayne: Gavin is a new Seal as well and blends in like he is a veteran. He is very attentive and focused during practice. He also had a great first meet and is eager to learn.

Session 3:

Mia Marshall: Mia has been a great kiddo in practice. She works really hard and listens to the coaches really well in order to improve her swimming. She was nervous at the first meet but did really well.

Cooper Stein: Cooper is always a pleasure to have in practice; he works really hard and is always focused on doing his best. He had a great timing meet last weekend.

Session 4:

J.R. Flaherty: JR has improved tremendously. He works really hard at practice always wanting to improve his strokes and technique. He knows where he needs improvement and asks for the coaches help to get better.

Kate Knittel: Kate has been such a pleasure in practice. This week she has worked harder than we have ever seen her work. Being 11 she is new to 50’s and flip turns and is doing so well.

Session 5:

Dito Mycue: Dito is always a pleasure to have in practice. He works hard every day and is so polite to the coaches. His hard work really showed at the timing meet he dropped tremendous amounts of time.

Kate Livingston: Kate is always a pleasure to have in practice. She is always in a great mood with a contagious smile. She works really hard and encourages the others around her to do so.
