2019 Swimmers of the Week

Week 8

Session 1:

Aili Billick: Aili has given her all this season. She knows how to work hard while having fun. She brings so much positive energy to the Seals!

Hunter Horvath: Hunter is new to the team and hasn’t stopped working hard. He has improved immensely and always puts what the coaches have to say to good use.

Session 2:

Narain Mysore: Narain is such a joy to have on the team. He is always happy and ready to listen to his coaches’ advice.

Gia Schoen: Gia is eager to exemplify what is expected of her. She is focused and always trying her best. She is a great new addition to the Seals!

Session 3:

Lauren Williams: Lauren never lets us down! She always pays attention and does what is asked. We are always grateful that Lauren is there when we need her to fill in for a relay or put a smile on someone’s face.

Oliver Calvin: Oliver is new to the team, but you would never know. He has spent this season working hard and proving himself. He is always ready to smile and swim fast!

Session 4:

Cassidy Mahagan: Cassidy has been on the team for many years now, but always puts in her all. She comes to practice ready to work hard, while making every one in her lane laugh in the meantime. We love her positive attitude.

Aiden Knittel: Aiden has been on the team for the past few years, but has shown his perseverance this season. He is always ready to work on his turns and improve for the meets. He always eager to clarify for others and tries his best.

Session 5:

Brooke Fertig: Brooke is an absolute joy to have on the team. She is always inspiring others to work hard and comes to practice focused. The coaches are never disappointed by her spirit and determination.

Ahan Sharma: Ahan is new to the team and his motivation has been paying off. He had a great meet and nailed all of his turns, making the coaches so proud.


WEEK 7

Session 1:

Claire Murry: Claire has done so well this season and always works really hard. She comes to practice ready to have fun and work hard. She keeps her teammates on track.

Wyatt Linder: Wyatt listens to the coaches throughout practices. He works hard on what the coaches tell him and has a good attitude during practice. He has been racing his heart out in his individual races and relays.

Session 2:

Riley Foster: Riley has really stood out to the coaches this past week – working hard and having fun. Her hard work has really paid off lately and she has improved so much.

Eli Padgett: Eli is always a great kid to have in practice. He is always ready to learn and excited to be there. He works hard whenever he is there and is a good teammate to his lane buddies

Session 3:

Olivia Lara: Olivia is always so enthusiastic about practice and excited to be there. She has also shown a lot of improvement since the beginning of the season. She always has a great attitude.

Nick Billick: Nick always has a big smile on his face and is excited to jump in the water for practice. He is kind to his teammates and tries very hard in practice. He is going to continue to improve over time with his great attitude.

Session 4:

Mallory Turner: Mallory has improved so much in the last year. She is very polite at practices and works hard on all the things the coaches ask of her. We can all see that she loves swimming!

Logan Bickley: Logan listens to the coach’s feedback and works hard to make improvements. He has also shown a lot of improvement so far this season and we can’t wait to continue to watch him race.

Session 5:

Charli Reed: This is Charli’s 10th year on the team! She is a great role model for all the Seals. She is always cheerful, respectful and fun to have in practices and races tough at the meets.

Nicolas Covert: Nicolas is such a hard worker. He stays focused in his workouts even when there are distractions. He knows what he needs to do to improve in and out of the water. The Seals can always count on him to race hard in his individual races and relays.


WEEK 6

Session 1:

Olivia Hall: Olivia has been working hard in her practices and had several best times this past weekend. She is listening to the coaches and applying the things they say to her races.

Brody Jones: Brody has become a racer. He is trying his best in practices and it is paying off in the meets with best times and some blue ribbons. Keep up the good work!

Session 2:

Sara Dranguet: Sara has been a great kiddo in practice. She stood out to the coaches specifically last week with how hard she was working, racing tough and her positive attitude.

Jacob Kerrigan: Jacob has been improving a lot since joining the team six weeks ago. He is consistent with his practices and focuses on his technique for back and free. He is only going to continue to get better in the water.

Session 3:

Quin Schoen: Quin is a new Seal as well and blends in like she is a veteran. She is very attentive and focused during practice. She is doing great at the meets and is eager to learn.

Ayden Zong: Ayden is a great role model for his fellow teammates. He comes to practice ready to work hard but also have fun. He racing hard at the meets and is helping on all his relays.

Session 4:

Brooke Abrameit: Brooke has been pushing herself extra hard in practices this season. She is excelling in all her events at the meets and is making huge contributions to all her relays.

Harper Fike: Harper is always positive. She has even been coming to two practices a day. She overcame her nerves and had a great 100 IM this past meet and will continue to drop time.

Caleb Eilers: Caleb is enthusiastic about practice and trains hard. He has shown a lot of improvement since last season. He has a great attitude and the coaches enjoy having him on the team.

Session 5:

Fiona Tanis: Fiona brings her great attitude and hard work ethic to practices and the meets. She also has been a huge help with the younger Seals. Her gentle and fun personality calms the kiddos nerves and we appreciate her!

Will Hoard: Will works hard and encourages his teammates to do the same. When he shows up he is focused and ready to do his best. He also shows excellent sportsmanship to teammates and other teams at the meets.


WEEK 5

Session 1:

Logan Jones: Logan has transformed as a swimmer in the last few seasons and when you watch her swim you can see her love for the sport. She is a positive role model to her teammates and has been having a blast on her relays.

Colt Petershagen: Colt had several best times this past weekend and it’s a result of how hard he has been training during practices. Colt stays focused, is thoughtful in his technique and loves to be in the pool.

Session 2:

Elin Endlich: Elin has overcome her nerves in the past few weeks and swam a great meet Saturday. She is always very respectful of her coaches and teammates. We can’t wait to watch her in more meets.

Nick Ferrara: Nick is new to the team and has found a place here – he is a true Seal. He always has a smile on his face and works his hardest. We love watching Nick improve each week

Session 3:

Ella Dalchau: Ella is a new Seals and has already proven herself to be a tough racer. She keeps swimming fun while always maintaining focus. She works hard in practices and is improving every week.

Hunter Hansen: Hunter is eager to come to practice and has a great attitude throughout the whole workout. He is excited to learn his strokes and try them in a meet.

Session 4:

Hazel Price: Hazel has been working hard on learning all her turns now that she is racing 50’s. She never gives up when the turns confuse her and tries again! She brings her positive vibes to practice everyday.

Anderson Berndt: Anderson has been attending practices consistently this season and is getting stronger in the water. He is always respectful to the coaches and his teammates.

Session 5:

Kaitlyn Johnson: Kaitlyn is a wonderful and multi-talented Seal. She did an amazing job on Saturday singing the National Anthem then turned around and raced hard. Her cheery disposition means the world to the coaches and her lane mates.

Marcelo Canepa: Marcelo has been a Seal for 8 years! He is always pushing himself in practice and he has seen vast improvements since last season. He has a love for the water and the coaches appreciate his positive and kind attitude.


WEEK 4

Session 1:

Zoya Sharma: Zoya has been on the team for a few years now and never stops working hard. Her teammates love her energy and she is always ready to swim.

Alex Doles: Alex shows up to practice and always ready to work his hardest. He listens to what the coaches have to say and keeps works on improving his technique.

Session 2:

Chloe Bloor: Chloe asks for feedback and tries her best. She always has a smile on her face and loves to be in the water with her teammates!

Noah Bruner: Noah has a great attitude and comes to practice ready to work hard. He’s focused and it shows in his improvement.

Session 3:

Annalise Benoit: Annalise has been a great addition to the Seals. She comes to practice ready to work and listen to the coaches. She sets a great example for her teammates.

August Pickerill: August has done a great job of making sure he is attending practice these first few weeks and the coaches can already see his improvements. He is getting more aware if his movements in the water.

Session 4:

Korinne Tanis: Korinne always brings her smile to practice. Her positive attitude is contagious and has been working very hard. She is doing great racing 50’s and making sure she has quality and fast turns.

JP Hagood: JP has really been improving since joining the Seals. He has great attendance and has been paying attention to his stroke technique. He also has a lot fun with his teammates in practice and at the meets.

Session 5:

Megan McGauley: Megan does everything she can to improve. She is always asking for tips on her strokes, turns and dives. She comes to practice focused. She also has been doing a great job volunteer coaching

Gavin Livingston: Gavin is an awesome Seals. He is always in a good mood and his positive attitude has helped him in his volunteer coaching. He trains hard in practice and races hard at the meets. 


WEEK 3

Session 1:

Maren Moore: Maren has a positive attitude at practices and always has a smile. The coaches were impressed with her kindness and support of her teammates at the meet.

Lucas Falvey: Lucas shows up to practice ready to work hard and listens to the coach’s feedback. He raced hard this weekend and we can’t wait to watch him drop time throughout the season.

Session 2:

Livia Mcgee: Livia is really fun to coach. She works really hard and makes great improvements daily. She was a new swimmer coming in and has done so well since we started and even tried a new stroke this past weekend.

Sam Lara: Sam is very attentive and focused during practice. He had a meet on Saturday - he is a racer and will continue to improve.

Session 3:

Bellamy Watson: Bellamy has been a great kiddo in practice. She works really hard and listens to the coaches in order to improve her swimming. She was nervous at the meet but did really well.

Garrett Marshall: He is a little fish and always happy to come to practices! In his first few weeks on the team has already improved a lot and had major time drops at the meet.

Session 4:

Anna Leggate: Anna has been pushing herself with double workouts this season. She has a positive attitude; works very hard and it will pay off in the meets.

Brody Marquart: Brody is a hard worker, is always having a good time and making everyone smile. He listens to the coach’s comments and critiques and applies them to his swimming!

Session 5:

Josi Avila: Josi has been giving it her all in practices, races and relays. She has also been doing a good job volunteer coaching. She knows what she wants to improve and asks the coaches how she can get better.

Sam Hagood: Sam has come back to swimming after many years and is really thriving after the first few weeks of Seals. He is naturally strong in the water and is figuring out how to use his power. He is always asking for ways to improve and really wants to understand how to do things with his strokes and turns.


WEEK 2

Session 1:

Mya Alvarez: Mya has been trying very hard in practices and is a positive influence to those in her lane. She has already improved a lot from last season and always gives it her all.

Henry Pickerill: Henry is a great new swimmer on the Seals and loves to go fast in practice. He listens to the coaches and adjusts his technique when given feedback.

Session 2:

Lucy Cottam: Lucy has really stepped up in her practices and is pushing herself more and more. She is focused on being legal in all the strokes and is applying what she has learned everyday.

Luke Tyler: Luke is new to the Seals and has really impressed the coaches so far. He is working really hard on his breastroke and is always attentive.

Session 3:

Lily Denton: Lily is great example of what hard work looks like! She has been practicing to become legal in fly/breast. She is also always very respectful of her lane-mates and coaches.

Andrew Frost: Andrew has improved immensely! He is getting stronger in his free/back and always has a smile on his face. The coaches are very excited to watch him race this season.

Session 4:

Summer McCurdy: Summer has been very focused on her turns for the last few weeks and she is getting better/faster at them. Her hard work will pay off come time to race!

Liam Bruner: Liam has had a great “go get’em” attitude this season! He is always prepared to be the first one in the water and pushes for his best.

Session 5:

Grace Eilers: Grace is one of the hardest workers on the team. She gives 110% during practice and we love having her on the team.

Henry Janes: Henry always asks for feedback and wants to do better. He strives for his best while entertaining his teammates and coaches along the way!


WEEK 1

Session 1:

Kate Linville: Kate is showing the coaches that she can work hard and is committed to being a Seal. She had a great first week of practice and raced at the timing meet!

Max Ferrera: Came to the first week of practice ready to impress the coaches with his work ethic and race mentality! We all enjoyed seeing him give it his all on Sunday.

Session 2:

Klara Campbell: Klara is very kind to her teammates and had a good first week on the Seals. At the meet she hit a rough patch with her goggles in one of her races but came right back and swam breaststroke. The coaches were proud of Klara!

Jaxon Dalchau: Jaxon stayed very focused this past week in practice. He tries his best every lap and we are looking forward to seeing him progress though the season. He loves to go fast!

Session 3:

Ivy Dwyers: Ivy listens to the coaches and tries her hardest. There were a few tears at the timing meet but what the coaches loved was that after a rough start she swam a great freestyle.

Jackson Kifer: Jackson is very respectful of his teammates and coaches. He always has a big smile on his face and it has been fun to watch him improve from his tryout to the timing meet.

Session 4:

Mia Kropewnicki: It has been so fun to watch Mia improve from last season till now. She comes to practice ready to work and is always pushing herself. She had a successful timing meet racing all the 50’s and the 100IM.

Jack Calvin: Jack really stood out to the coaches the first week with his great work ethic. He loves to race and we can tell that he is going to get stronger and continue to improve as the meets go on.

Session 5:

Jillian Kelly: Jillian goes above and beyond in everything she does at Seals, whether it’s helping the younger kids in practices and at the meets or trying hard in her workouts. We are lucky to have Jillian on the Seals!

Truman Armstrong: Truman was the first to come help the coaches on deck the first day of practice and we are thankful for that! He is a strong and hard working swimmer but also very kind and we are excited for him to share his knowledge with the younger swimmers.
