Swimmer of the Week June 18-June 24, 2018

WEEK 8

June 18-24th, 2018

Session 1:

Conrad Denton: Conrad is always a pleasure to have in practice. The coaches have noticed how hard he is working to improve his strokes. He is also very polite and kind to his teammates and coaches.

Hazel Price: Hazel is such a sweet kid to have at practice. She works hard every practice and is also very polite to coaches. She is also always eager to learn more to improve.

Session 2:

Maeve Basore: Maeve has great attendance at practice. Regardless of injury she works hard wanting to do her best. She races well at meets being a great part of each relay she is in.

Gage Pesses: Gage is a very hard worker in practice. He is always there and ready to work hard but also have fun. He does a great job listening to coaches when we have advice for his strokes.

Session 3:

Sadie Bock: Sadie is such a joy to have in practice. She works hard in practice and also has fun. You can always find Sadie cheering on her teammates at meets, as well as her sisters.

Jonathan Eilers: The coaches have noticed the hard work Jonathan puts in during practice. He knows when it’s time to race and when it’s time to have fun.

Session 4:

Kian Tomasoski: Kian is a fun kid to coach. He works hard every practice and is always kind to his teammates and coaches. Kian has had some medical things to deal with and he is doing well and working even harder.

Morgan Sauri: Morgan always has a smile on her face when she is at practice. She works hard and is a great example for her teammates. She listens to coaches’ critique in order to improve her strokes.

Session 5:

Dito Mycue: Dito has been such a great helper this year. He comes early to help with our little seals doing what he can to help them with their technique during practice. He has also improved a lot throughout the season.

Avery Attaway: Avery is a great kid to have in practice. She works hard every time she is there and shows a great example to her teammates. She races really well at meets and is always cheering for her fellow teammates. 

WEEK 7

June 11-17th 2018

Session 1:

Olivia Hall: Olivia is always a joy to have in practice. She is always excited to be there and ready to work hard. She listens really well to the coaches’ advice and uses it at meets when she races hard.

Colton Demetri: Colton is always a hard worker at practice. He is very polite and shows a great example for his teammates. His hard work pays off at meets, especially this past weekend when he won his heat in one of his races.

Session 2:

Olivia Liu: Olivia is consistently a hard worker and polite kid. She comes to practice ready to have fun and work hard. She listens really well to the coaches’ advice and uses it at meets.

Charlie St Louis: Charlie has great attendance at practice and shows his teammates a great example of working hard at practice. At meets he knows how to have fun and race hard.

Session 3:

Avery Murry: Avery is new to seals and has fit in well with the other kiddos. She is at practice a lot and without a doubt works hard every time. This past weekend Avery had some really great races winning a heat ribbon in one of her races.

Jeremy Jiang: Jeremy has great attendance, he is always at practice ready to have fun but also work hard. He was nervous about diving off the blocks but continues to work hard every time we practice off the blocks.

Session 4:

Josi Avila: Josi is always a pleasure to have in practice. She is there all the time and works hard every time. She asks the coaches’ for advice on how to improve her strokes so she can improve overall. She is also a great example to her teammates.

Anderson Bernt: Anderson has really stood out to the coaches lately. He is always at practice and is always working hard. This is his first year doing 50’s and he is doing really well with the adjustment.

Session 5:

Stella Howard: Stella is a great kid to have in practice. She works hard and is always polite to the coaches and other teammates. She listens to the coaches’ advice and uses it at meets to improve.

Ari Sharma: Ari has been really helpful at practice lately, he comes early to help volunteer with the younger seals. He also works hard during his practice setting a great example for his teammates. 


WEEK 6

June 4-10th, 2018

Session 1:

  • Kylie Knutson: Kylie is always showing team spirit. She comes to practice cheerful and ready to work hard. At meets you can always find her cheering on her teammates when she isn’t swimming.
  • Brody Marquart: Brody has been a great addition to seals since last year. He quickly made friends and is always there to cheer them on. The coaches have really noticed him stepping it up in practice and wanting to improve.

Session 2:

  • Adalyn Kifer: Adalyn has almost perfect attendance every week at seals. She is always there, on time and ready to work hard. You can often find her smiling and giggling with her friends. She works hard and is always ready to make improvements.
  • Roman Salvatore: Roman is always fun to have at practice. He has great attendance and works his hardest every time. He is a great example to his teammates and his positive attitude is contagious.

Session 3:

  • Maddy Kerrigan: Maddy is always a joy to have in practice. She is there often and always ready to work hard and have fun. She is a great sport to her teammates and stepped up to do her first relay this weekend.
  • Cade Cherry: Cade is always a pleasure to have at practice. He works hard every day and listens to the coaches really well hoping to improve his strokes. He is a good teammate and encourager to his friends.

Session 4:

  • Summer Ferguson: Summer has a contagious smile and positive personality. She is at practice regularly and without a doubt working her hardest. She always encourages her teammates and even her little brother when he is nervous.
  • Aubrey Howe: Aubrey is one of the sweetest kids we have coached. Every coach has noticed his hard work and positive attitude. He is always cheering on his teammates even during practice. He shows a great example of sportsmanship.

Session 5:

  • Samantha Jordan: Samantha is a pleasure to have in practice. Her attendance is great and she works hard every time. She is always eager to hear the coach’s advice and make changes to improve her technique.
  • Nathan Weyand: Nathan is a great example to his teammates. He comes to practice ready to work hard and give it his all. He is also always there to encourage his teammates to do their best as well.


WEEK 5

May 28-June 3rd 2018

Session 1:

Noah Day

Noah is new to seals and has made a great addition to our team. He is such a hard worker but also knows how to have fun. He is a great example for his lane mates.

Cassidy Mahagan

Cassidy brings a great energy to practice. She always has a smile on her face and is ready to work hard. Her cheerful attitude helps encourage her teammates.

Session 2:

Adam Perlmutter

Adam is always a pleasure to have at practice. He is always smiling and having fun while also working hard. He encourages his teammates and shows them a great example in the pool.

Ella Kuhn

Ella is always a joy to have at practice. She works hard every practice but also has fun. This weekend she was stung by a bee before her race but still managed to swim her relay and did a great job.

Session 3:

Tillman Bellotto

Tillman is a great addition to seals. He is a great example to his teammates by working hard at every practice and always listening to the coaches.

Chloe Peris

Chloe has really stood out to the coaches lately with her positive attitude and great work ethic. She encourages her teammates and is always the first to say good luck or good job.

Session 4:

Austin Aitchison

Austin is a leader for his teammates. He is always working hard and encouraging his friends to do so as well. There hasn’t been one race that we haven’t seen him wish someone good luck or tell them good job.

Neela Lerma

Neela is such a pleasure to have at practice. She works hard every time and has fun. She always has a huge smile on her face and encourages her teammates to do their best.

Session 5:

Dylan Bickley

Dylan is always a great leader to his teammates. He knows how to have fun but also when to be serious and work hard. He is also one to always wish fellow swimmers good luck and good job.

Emma Van Eenoo

Emma is such a sweet girl that we love having around. She volunteers with our younger seals and is a huge help. She is also a great leader and example to her fellow teammates.







WEEK 4

May 21-27th 2018

Session 1: 

Charlee Corbett

Charlee is always a pleasure to have in practice, she is always cheerful and ready to work hard. She encourages her teammates and always makes sure to congratulate everyone after their race. She is very respectful to her coaches.

Luke Knittle

Luke is a very hard worker in practice. He is always early wanting to swim and squeeze in extra practice. His hard work shows off in meets. He is a great sport with the other teams always high fiving and telling everyone good job.

Session 2: 

Zoya Sharma

Zoya has amazing attendance with seals. She is always at practice and she is always ready to have fun and work hard. She leads her lane and is always wanting to improve herself to get even faster.

Ethan Sauri

Ethan is a joy to have at practice. He always has a smile on his face and enjoys swimming and working hard. He listens to his coach’s feedback and makes changes to improve. He is also a good example to his teammates.

Session 3: 

Greer Pardue

Greer is always fun to have around. She comes to practice ready to work hard with a big smile. She is always prepared to work hard and set an example for her teammates. She is also great with encouraging her teammates.

Arthur Lago

Arthur is a pleasure to have in practice. He is always ready to work hard with a smile. When working on dives the other day coach Leah Elena gave him a tip to improve his dive, when practice was over he asked to stay to work on his dive so he could get better.

Session 4: 

Ava Grosso

Ava always comes to practice with a smile on her face and giggles that make everyone smile. She works hard but also has fun. Even with a hard practice she gets ready and works hard to do her best.

Rowan Cox

Rowan is a great kiddo to have in practice. He is always ready to have fun and work hard at practice. He encourages his teammates to do their best as well. Lately Rowan stays for session 5 as well to get extra practice in.

Session 5:

Ella Strickland

Ella is always a pleasure to have in practice. She comes early to help volunteer with our littler seals and they love spending time with her. She works hard despite injuries and is a great example to her teammates and the little seals.

Nicholas Covert

Nicholas is a hard worker, he is quiet but knows how to have fun. He sometimes leads his lane being a great example for his teammates. He is always ready to listen to the coaches’ advice so he can improve his strokes.

WEEK 3

May 14-20th 2018

  • Session 1: Parker Trautman

Parker is a new seal this year and is a very hard worker. He is always ready to be at practice, having fun and setting a great example to his teammates.

  • Session 1: Abigail Amoroso

Abigial is new to seals and has adapted really well. She is at practice most of the week and works hard. She always has a smile on her face and her hard work pays off.

  • Session 2: Rose Florence

Rose is always a pleasure to have in practice. She is so kind to all of her teammates and coaches, she works hard at every practice as well as in meets. She is always ready to have fun and do her best.

  • Session 2: Tej Karia

Tej is a very hard worker. He comes to practice ready to have fun and work hard. He is a good influence on his lane mates because of how hard he works. He races hard at meets and always has a great attitude.

  • Session 3: Brooklyn Riggins

Brooklyn is always happy and excited to be at practice. She is a great influence to her lane mates and listens to the coaches. She asks to step up and this weekend she swam a 50 in her 100 freestyle relay when she was needed.

  • Session 3: Jude Benbrook

Jude is a pleasure to have at practice. He works really hard while having fun and setting an example for his teammates. He listens to coaches advice doing what he can to improve.

  • Session 4: JR Flaherty

JR has been to many practices this season and has worked hard leading his lane. His hard work pays off at meets. He listens to coaches advice to make improvements when needed.

  • Session 4: Sydney Grosso

Sydney always works hard and has a smile on her face. She had an unfortunate DQ at the timing meet but didn’t let it get her down and came back at the recent meet and rocked her 50 breast stroke legally.

  • Session 5: Gabe Watts

Gabe is new to seals and swimming as a sport. He works so hard at every practice and raced really well at the meet. He always listens to the coaches wanting to improve as much as he can.

  • Session 5: Avery Deithloff

Avery is always a hard worker and a great leader to her teammates and younger seals. She volunteers with our younger seals and even leads her fellow lane mates. Her hard work shows at meets.

WEEK 2:

May 7-13th 2018

Session 1:

Zane Cherry: We have all been very impressed with the progress Zane has made in the 1st two week of being a new Seal swimmer. It is clear that he is listening and focused on himself in practices!

Havia Goulding: Havia is new to the Seals and is already one of the hardest working swimmers on the team! She pushes herself in practice and you can tell she finds joy in being in the water and racing.

Session 2:

Nate Meeks: Nate comes ready to swim and learn at every practice. Nate is new to the Seals and he is going to be fun to watch as he improves all his strokes this season!

Presley Knutson: Presley is a hard worker in practice and really stood out to the coaches last week. She is always prompt and ready to get in for a great practice! She listens to feedback from the coaches and makes the correct adjustments.

Session 3:

Rico Avila: Rico is very enthusiastic and eager to swim and race! He is always listening, having fun and you can tell he loves swimming at practice everyday.

Aria Rodriguez: Aria has already improved so much as a new Seal swimmer. She is very polite at practices and works hard on all the things the coaches ask of her. We can all see that Aria loves swimming!

Session 4:

Ronak Regan: Ronak is always respectful to his teammates and coaches. He has been working hard to learn all his turns now that he is racing 50’s. The coaches can already see his improvements!

Larkin Bock: Larkin had a rough start to the season with a knee injury but last week she showed us nothing will stop her! She came ready to swim, learn and have fun! All the coaches enjoy coaching Larkin.

Session 5:

Gavin Livingston: Every season we ask Gavin to train a little harder and he never says no to the challenge! He has a fun and energetic attitude. Gavin’s lane buddies are all happy when he is there!

Abigail Sanders: Abigail loves Seals swimming and you can see it in her racing and coaching. She was the first volunteer coach to show up - week 1, day 1. As a new volunteer coach she has been welcoming to feedback from the coaches on how she can improve. She also loves to race and we can’t see what she will do this season!

WEEK 1

May 1-6th 2018

Session 1:

Rowan Walker: Rowan is a first time swimmer with the Seals and he has been working very hard and is a great teammate to others. He always has a smile on his face, attends all the practices and is ready to learn.

Happy Attaway: Happy is so much fun to have in practice! She listens, cheers on others and makes sure to say hi to all the coaches. You can tell that she is genuinely “happy” to be in the pool.

Session 2:

Renzo Avila: Renzo stood out to the coaches because he was always listening and paying attention. There have been some nerves as new Seals but after watching his races this weekend, we think those nerves are gone!

Abigail Gordon: Abigail comes to the pool ready to swim! She is pays attention to instructions and her smile lights up when she sees her friends.

Session 3:

Huck Ferguson: Huck is a brand new swimmer and came to every practice the first week ready to swim. He listens to the coaches and tries his hardest. There were a few tears at the timing meet but what the coaches loved was he never quit!

Lily Denton: Lily is also a new Seal and has a quiet confidence. She focuses on her stroke techniques and she even did some butterfly in practice last week! The coaches noticed her listening and being kind to those in her lane.

Session 4:

Oliver Hayne: Oliver had a great first week of practices and racing 50’s at the meet. He showed up everyday ready to keep working on his turns and build his strength in his new group.

Reese Walker: Reese has been committed to learning all her strokes and turns. She has not quit when things are challenging or hard even though she new to swimming. Reese’s teammates gravitate to her because of her positive personality.

Session 5:

James Hayek: James has really stepped up in his role as one of the older team members! He has been helping out on deck as well as swimming in his session. James is super positive with all his teammates and coaches.

Shivani Regan/Avery Sullivan: Both these ladies are committed to the Seals. They both show up everyday ready to help on deck and then they stay to swim! They have been a big 
























































Week #7

June 13-17, 2017

Session 1:

Ian Hoard: Ian has really impressed the coaches lately with his amazing racing skills. He works hard in practice and it really shows at meets. He made it to the A relay and does his 25 free and fly without a breath!

Session 2:

Sam Abrameit: Sam works hard in practice and is always encouraging and

congratulatory to his teammates. The coaches have noticed during practice how kind and encouraging he is!

Session 3:

Rhett Cox: Rhett is always a joy at practice. He never misses practice and never fails to work hard! He wasn't legal in butterfly in the beginning of the season and worked hard and was able to get 2 legal times!

Session 4:

Jadon Demetri: Jadon's hard work has really stood out to the coaches. He works hard in every practice and gives his all at meets. He has been dropping time and

racing well. We are all so impressed with his improvements this year!

Session 5:

Wes Wasserburger: Wes is such a pleasure to have in practice. He works hard and encourages his teammates to do the same. When he shows up he is focused and ready to do his best. He also shows excellent sportsmanship to teammates and other teams.


Week 6

Session 1:

  • Rowan Lusk: Rowan is always a joy to have in practice. She works really hard every time she is at practice and is very encouraging to her teammates. She has been swimming all season on a fractured ankle unaware of it, but pushed through the pain to swim!

Session 2:

  • Logan Jones: Logan has really stood out to the coaches this past week. She always works hard and has fun. Her hard work has really paid off lately and she has improved so much.

Session 3:

  • MiaClaire Mott: MiaClaire is so much fun to have in practice. She always has a smile on her face and is ready to work hard at practice and meets. She is encouraging to her teammates and shows greats sportsmanship.

Session 4:

  • Fiona Tanis: Fiona has really stood out to the coaches lately, she is always a hard worker and this year she has really stepped up and helped with the younger seals. She is so fun to have at practice!

Session 5:

Jillian Kelly: Jillian is such a pleasure to have in practice. She never fails to work hard and do anything she can to improve. She is always asking coaches to help her improve so she can drop time. She has also been extremely helpful with the little seals in practice and meets.

Swimmer of the Week #5

Week 5

Session 1:

  • Grayden Warmink: Grayden has always been a great kiddo in practice. He stood out to the coaches specifically last week with how hard he works and his always positive attitude.

Session 2:

  • Ryan Lauchert: Ryan is always a hard worker in practice but really stood out to the coaches last week. He keeps his teammates on track in practice and is eager to work hard and have a great practice.

Session 3:

  • Chase Mahagan: Chase has improved so much this year in just 5 short weeks. He is new to swimming and was understandably hesitant and nervous. Last week he was a whole new swimmer and is so eager to practice, work hard and have fun

Session 4:

  • Ari Sharma: Ari has done so well this season and always works really hard. He is always at practice ready to have fun and work hard. He keeps his teammates on track no matter how full the lanes are.

Session 5:

  • Carson Powers: Carson swam with seals in the past and is back again. He fits right in like he never left. He works hard at every practice and it shows in meets. He is also helpful to us coaches with the younger kiddos at meets and practice. 

Swimmer of the Week #4

WEEK 4

Session 1:

  • Dacee Dinwiddie: Dacee is always a pleasure to have in practice. She is always at practice and ready to work hard. She always shows great sportsmanship cheering for all of her teammates at meets. She always stands out to the coaches and even parents at meets with her kindness.

Session 2:

  • Drew Marquart: Drew is new to seals this year and is such a joy to have in practice. She works really hard and is very encouraging to her teammates. This weekend she wanted to wait to go out of town with her family so she could swim at the meet Saturday.

Session 3:

  • Sylvie Tanis: Sylvie is also a fun kid to have in practice. She is always ready to work hard and have fun. She works really hard in practice and it shows in meets. This weekend she was not in a relay but was there cheering and was able to step up and swim in the relay when another swimmer couldn’t.

Session 4:

  • Megan McGauley: Megan is a joy to coach. She is always smiling and happy to be at practice. She works hard every time she is there and encourages her teammates to do the same. She listens to the coaches input and immediately works on what was said.

Session 5:

  • Elizabeth Meyers: Elizabeth is a former seal that is back with us this year. She is such a hard worker and always shows great sportsmanship. You will always see her cheering for her teammates at meets. She also comes to our earlier practices to help with the younger kiddos.

WEEK 3

Session 1:

Avery Archer: Avery is always a very hard worker in practice. She is at practice often and ready to work hard. She listens to the coaches well and always shows good sportsmanship.

Jackson Grosso: Jackson is always fun to have in practice. He works really hard and listens to the coaches well. Last week he stood out to some of the coaches with how hard he was working to improve his strokes.

Session 2:

Ashlyn Horek: Ashlyn is such a pleasure to have in practice. She is always smiling and always so encouraging to her teammates. She works really hard and shows great sportsmanship.

Oliver Ward: Oliver is a great role model for his fellow teammates. He comes to practice ready to work hard but also have fun. He is really good at encouraging his teammates and congratulating everyone.

Session 3:

Tess Roadman: Tess has really stood out to the coaches last week. She always works hard but last week especially. She is great at encouraging her teammates and also having fun.

Jake Tishgart: Jake stood out to our coaches last week with how hard he worked. He was listening to the coaches advice and took it to heart to improve his strokes.

Session 4:

Lauryn Cook: Lauryn is always a very hard worker. She is a great example for all her teammates with her work ethic and great sportsmanship. Lauryn stood out to many coaches last week.

Max Barr: Max is also a pleasure to have in practice. He works hard but also has fun. He listens to the coaches and works hard to improve his strokes. He had a great meet this weekend, the part we did get to swim.

Session 5:

Caroline Meyers: Caroline is such a joy to have in practice. She never fails to work hard and be a great example for others in her lane. She is always so polite and eager to have a good practice.

Evan Hadd: Evan is new to the seals and fits right in. He is always on time to practice and ready to get in and work hard. He is also a great encourager to other swimmers in his lane. 

WEEK 2

Session 1:

Brooke Abrameit: Brooke is always a joy to have in practice. She works really hard in practice and always has a smile on her face. Her hard work definitely shows during meets.

Nicholas Mazaraki: Nicholas is always a hard worker and great listener in practice. He is always eager to hear the coaches advice and quick to make changes to improve his technique.

Session 2:

Sadie Dauterive: Sadie is always a fun and bubbly addition to our practice. She is always smiling and enjoying practice. She is a great listener but also makes practice enjoyable for her and her teammates.

Nick Waldman: Nick is a very hard worker. He is really good at staying focused and on task at practice. He is also a joy to coach every day.

Session 3:

Audrey Berndt: This sweet girl is really fun to coach. She works really hard and makes great improvements daily. She was a new swimmer coming in and has done so well since we started.

Lucas Frost: Lucas is always a hard worker in every practice. He is eager to practice every day and do what he can to improve in his strokes. He listens to the coaches and quick to improve.

Session 4:

Lillian Hall: Lillian works very hard in every practice. She is eager to hear the coaches advice and immediately make those changes. She works really hard to make those improvements until she has accomplished them.

Jack Cook: Jack has been a pleasure in practice. He works really hard in practice every day. He has also shown up early to volunteer and help with the younger seals.

Session 5:

Charli Reed: We have coached Charli since she was 5 years old and she has made strives as a swimmer. Without a doubt she works really hard and gives practice everything she can.

Will Hoard: Will is also another hard worker. This year is his first year in the last session and he is doing really well. He fits right in with the older swimmers and does really well.

WEEK 1

Session 1:

Winnie D'Andrea: Winnie is a first time swimmer with the Seals and he has been working so hard and is a great teammate to others. He is always ready for practice and focused on doing his best.

Lillian Carroll (Scout) : Scout is also a new swimmer for Seals and she has been a pleasure to have in practice. She listens to the coaches really well and is ready to do what she can to improve her swimming.

Session 2:

Holland Thomas: Holland is also a new swimmer and she works very hard in practice even with a broken arm! If you saw her swimming you wouldn’t know she was injured because she pushes herself and has a great time.

Gavin Hayne: Gavin is a new Seal as well and blends in like he is a veteran. He is very attentive and focused during practice. He also had a great first meet and is eager to learn.

Session 3:

Mia Marshall: Mia has been a great kiddo in practice. She works really hard and listens to the coaches really well in order to improve her swimming. She was nervous at the first meet but did really well.

Cooper Stein: Cooper is always a pleasure to have in practice; he works really hard and is always focused on doing his best. He had a great timing meet last weekend.

Session 4:

J.R. Flaherty: JR has improved tremendously. He works really hard at practice always wanting to improve his strokes and technique. He knows where he needs improvement and asks for the coaches help to get better.

Kate Knittel: Kate has been such a pleasure in practice. This week she has worked harder than we have ever seen her work. Being 11 she is new to 50’s and flip turns and is doing so well.

Session 5:

Dito Mycue: Dito is always a pleasure to have in practice. He works hard every day and is so polite to the coaches. His hard work really showed at the timing meet he dropped tremendous amounts of time.

Kate Livingston: Kate is always a pleasure to have in practice. She is always in a great mood with a contagious smile. She works really hard and encourages the others around her to do so.
