CC Seals Volunteer Sign Up Information

Hi Everyone!

Let us introduce ourselves. We are Lynn Waldman and Susan Williams and we are going to be your "go to" people for all things volunteering this year! It takes a large village for Swim Meets to function and run smoothly so we will need (and require) all of your help. Each family will be responsible for a minimum of 40 volunteering points to remain in good standing with the team. There will be plenty of opportunities this year to earn that minimum, but remember a family must meet the minimum points to stay on the team even if only attending the minimum requirement of 2 swim meets. Job descriptions on all volunteering roles and associated points earned can be found here.

Sign ups for Volunteering will be opened on Saturday, April 21st at 2pm.

To ensure that everyone gets an opportunity to get their minimum 40 points we are asking families to sign up for NO MORE THAN 50 points during the first week. Thereafter we will assess where we are in filling positions and families will be allowed to sign up for more – we really do appreciate the families that do more than the minimum!

When sign ups open, click here to be directed to the sign-up page. (Full meet schedule has been uploaded.)

A few things to keep in mind:

  • Stroke and turn judge - You must be certified to volunteer in this position. Below are the dates/times for Stroke and Turn Judge certification training (you only need to attend one). Click on the location for a map. We will update if there are any changes.

  • Champs - please make sure you have volunteered in that same role during a regular season meet.
  • If you have volunteer positions that you prefer to work, try to get online as close to 2:00 as you can to sign up (some spots can fill quickly). But don't worry if you can't, there will be lots of opportunities over the season to volunteer!
  • On Sunday, April 22nd at 4pm, our Meet Director Kim Horek will be holding a meeting at the Circle C Community Center for Current Head Parents involved with running the meets. If you are interested in holding a head parent position in future seasons, feel free to join us at the meeting to learn more about these positions.

We hope everyone has a smooth and positive experience when signing up for their volunteer positions on Saturday. We really do appreciate all of your hard work to make the Seals great for our kids! :) Feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns.

Sincerely,

Lynn & Susan
