Hi Seals – Summer ’19 Season Registration and Quick Start Registration opens TODAY.  Follow the link at the bottom of this email and select the VERY BIG GREEN “REGISTER” ICON to begin the process.  So there are 5 things to please focus on during the registration process - this email/post is Sealiously a bit Verboso Grosso, but please hang in there…..

(1) SEASON REGISTRATION - Please register EVERY KID in your household who wants to be a Seal for the Summer Season – if the new prospective swimmers don’t pass the tryout on April 7th we will refund your registration fees.

(2) QUICK STARTS - once you complete the Season Registration, if your RETURNING swimmer is interested in participating in the OPTIONAL pre-season Quick Start program (April 15-25th) please register them now - there are a very limited number of slots available to returning swimmers.   All new swimmers (same household or new to team through Lottery) will have different sessions. You can find available sessions on the registration page.  If a session is not available for your child's age, it may have already filled up. Please contact Coach Colleen at [email protected] to be placed on a wait list or discuss alternate ideas based your child's abilities.  NEW swimmer sessions will open when New family registration opens in April.

(3) SEAL MERCHANDISE – HUGE kudos to our Merchandise Volunteer Sarah Sauri who knocked it out of the park AGAIN this year with her designs AND her partnership with Seal dad Eddie Brown of Athletic Performance Solutions (APS) – our new merchandise supplier and Sponsor.  They’ve teamed up to offer a great selection of Seal gear for you to show your team pride and with APS as a Sponsor of the Seals it is win/win/win for Seals families, the Team, and APS.

• Everyone must visit the Seal Store to AT LEAST select the quantity and size of the Free Team T-Shirt with Sponsor logos for their swimmer(s) that is included in your registration fee.  Of course, we put this at the very bottom of the page so you have to scroll through LOTS of cool Seal gear first for your consideration😊.  The FREE Team T-Shirt is listed for $18 as some families like to buy extra for parents, etc; but at check-out please use the appropriate coupon code to get your registered swimmers’ T-Shirts knocked down to FREE.  COUPONS CODES....
  • if you have 1 Seal/1 Free T-Shirt due it is:  seals1
  • If you have 2 Seals/2 Free T-Shirts due it is: 2seals
  • If you have 3 Seals/3 Free T-Shirts due it is: threeseals
  • And if you have 4 Seals/4 Free T-Shirts due it is:  4seals

We trust, but we verify – please ensure you only get the correct number of free t-shirts😊.

• Shipping Choices:   You gotta love choices.  You can now choose to have all your merchandise shipped to your house for a nominal fee (included the Team T-Shirts) OR you can ‘Ship to Seals’ at no charge and we will be holding a distribution pick-up day as usual – date/time TBD.

(4) SPONSORSHIP – We’re fast, but the team actually doesn’t run on bubbles😊.Our Sponsorship Operations Coordinator Becky Johnson and her Sponsorship Outreach team (Liz Ferguson and Shannon Lauchert) are already beginning the process of contacting businesses to Sponsor the Seals.  There is an opportunity during registration to streamline the process and Sponsor the Seals now.  As we told the ~90 new families considering joining Seals, our low Registration fees haven’t increased in YEARS and if you take advantage of all the practices, the pricing is crazily just ~$4/session.  That said, we spend ~$50,000 each year to operate our little non-profit team so partnering with our Sponsors in a win/win collaboration is HUGE – we simply couldn’t operate without our generous sponsors.  Based on the level of Sponsorship, we will be continuing the Seals’ Sponsor Spotlight Series (emails profiling/promoting our Sponsors) as well as the T-shirt/Banner logo display and other cool benefits (IE COOL SEAL MERCHANDISE😊).

(5) SABBATICAL – As we introduced last year, we are offering an option for Swimmers to take a 1 yr Sabbatical from the Seals and then return the following year.  A whole family can also do the same without having to enter the lottery the next year.We certainly understand sometimes family plans and kids’ interest conflict with the 2 month commitment to Seals.  Please consider taking this interim step so next year you can again ponder the decision as shockingly kids often change their young minds😊.
