Home Meet Details - Seals v. Stingrays, Saturday @ 6:45A

Good evening, Team Orange,

REMINDER: event sign-ups are open and close on Wednesday at 6P CDT. You can declare your swimmers here:

https://ccrseals.swimtopia.com/swim_meets/490461/s...

First, thank you ALL for your patience and enthusiasm Saturday evening. We hope that you and your swimmers are excited for our first official meet of the season. Saturday morning, we host the Shady Hollow Stingrays. Our meet theme will be HAWAIIAN (Eric Marshall will bring his trusted ukulele) AND parents, bring your swimsuits, in case we are running ahead of schedule and run a S.E.A.L. Relay (Seriously Entertaining and Laughable)

ENTRY DETAILS

  • Shady Hollow is a big team. We are limiting the number of individual events to three (3)
  • As always, if there is any risk in your Saturday plans, do not sign up for relays. There is no other way to say it, rescheduling relays is as fun as a poke in the eye
  • The event order will be: 1. IM (fly/back/breast/free) / 2. Butterfly / 3. Backstroke / 4. Freestyle Relay / 5. Freestyle (point where almost every parent questions the amount of caffeine they need to get through a full meet) / 6. Breaststroke / 7. Medley Relay (back/breast/fly/free)

IMPORTANT LOGISTICAL NOTES

  • There is NO parking on Escarpment. Cars will be towed if parked in the bike lanes. Please park on LaCrosse, east of Escarpment. The CDC and Kiker parking lots are open to Seals families and our guests. Also recommend: carpooling; drop-off and pick-up; wagons; Uber; a party-bus… This is new and significant. It may take us some time to manage efficiently. Also, please do not park in the spots reserved for mail pickup
  • The drop and pick up trial in the Plaza Circle was a success! We will have this option Saturday
  • No chairs for spectators in the pool area. We will have accommodations for fans with disabilities
  • For safety reasons, ONLY coaches, swimmers and select volunteers are allowed on the pool deck. And absolutely no photos or videos from directly behind the starting blocks
  • Also: no playing in the sand (kids and adults), no littering, and no leaving without signing your child out. (Christy and I took 3 children home Saturday night. It was really fun until we ran out of S'mores and "Encanto" got to the boring part)
  • The DIVE CAFE will be OPEN. Please bring an appetite. They are also donating 10% of sales to the team when you use code: SEALS10
  • Kona Ice will also be there -- please study the meet schedule to strategize on the best time to visit the truck AND please let an AGP know whenever you are taking your swimmer on a walkabout

SEALS SPIRIT

Everyone knows that orange is the best team color (even if you are an Aggie). Let’s show our Seals Spirit by getting the orange out!

Finally, our team store is great way to get more (and stylish) orange into your wardrobe https://stores.inksoft.com/circlec/shop/home

Thanks & Go Seals!
