Away Meet Details @ Travis Country, Saturday May 20

Good evening, Seals Parents,

If you only do two things this week, let your children know that you love them AND make sure to declare your swimmers before 6:00P CDT, Wednesday. You can declare your swimmers here:

https://ccrseals.swimtopia.com/swim_meets/490464/s...

We hope that you are excited for our first official meet of the season – the weather looks gorgeously cloudy. Saturday morning, we travel to Travis Country to swim with the Sharks. Our meet theme will be HAWAIIAN (Eric Marshall promises to serenade our zoo with a few tunes from the “Moana” songbook) PLUS parents, bring your swimsuits, in case we are running ahead of schedule and hold a mid-meet relay with Travis Country.

ADDRESS: 4100 TRAVIS COUNTRY CIRCLE 78735

  • Travis Country is a big team. We are limiting the number of individual events to three (3)
  • As always, if there is any risk in your Saturday plans, do not sign up for relays. There is no other way to say it, rescheduling relays is as fun as covering in honey and then wrestling a bear
  • The event order will be: 1. IM (fly/back/breast/free) / 2. Butterfly / 3. Backstroke / 4. Freestyle Relay / 5. Freestyle (point where almost every parent questions the amount of caffeine they need to get through a full meet) / 6. Breaststroke / 7. Medley Relay (back/breast/fly/free)

IMPORTANT LOGISTICAL NOTES

  • Parking is limited. Please factor walk from car to pool into your morning plans. Please do not park in crosswalks or block hydrants. We will not be towed (another week that I am still with my car) but we will be ticketed
  • There will be port-a-potties to supplement the pool restrooms. Carefully consider your beverage intake …
  • Spectators are welcome to set up chairs wherever they can find space that does not interfere with swimmer movement and safety
  • ONLY coaches, swimmers and select volunteers are allowed on the pool deck. And absolutely no photos or videos from directly behind the starting blocks
  • The Shark Shack will be open and promises some of the best food you will eat on a Saturday morning, adjacent to a pool, that is not in Circle C -- please study the meet schedule to strategize on the best time to visit the Shack AND please let an AGP know whenever you are taking your swimmer on a walkabout

SEALS SPIRIT
