June 10 @ 8A - Away Meet Details with SAAB

Good evening, Seals Parents,

Welcome to Manic Monday! If you only do two things this week, let your children know that you love them AND make sure to declare your swimmers before 6:00P CDT, Wednesday for BOTH June 10th away at SAAB and June 11th at home with Shady Hollow. You can declare your swimmers here:

https://ccrseals.swimtopia.com/news/213619

Hope everyone had a great time Saturday and THANK YOU Elin for a fantastic National Anthem!

This email will focus solely on details for Saturday at SAAB. I will send a second email tomorrow with logistics specific to Sunday’s home meet with Shady Hollow.

The SAAB meet theme will by tie-dye (Eric Marshall promises to wear this shirt https://www.teeshirtpalace.com/products/rbb166935... )

SAAB MEET DETAILS

https://saab.swimtopia.com/location

ADDRESS: 12006 Gatling Gun Ln 78748

  • Both teams are huge. We are limiting the number of individual events to three (3)
  • As always, if there is any risk in your Saturday plans, do not sign up for relays. There is no other way to say it, rescheduling relays is as fun as mowing the lawn in flip-flops
  • The event order will be: 1. IM (fly/back/breast/free) / 2. Butterfly / 3. Backstroke / 4. Freestyle Relay / 5. Freestyle (point where many parents daydream about a summer swim league in Minnesota) / 6. Breaststroke / 7. Medley Relay (back/breast/fly/free)

VOLUNTEER REMINDER

Any volunteer changes/additions should be made before the job sign up closes on Wednesday at 6P. If you have any last minute changes, please contact Bethany Pendleton via email at [email protected]

IMPORTANT LOGISTICAL NOTES

  • Parking: The Pool/Amenity Center parking lot will be closed and available only for handicapped parking. Main parking is available along the streets – specifically Gatling Gun Lane, Warwick, and Buckingham Gate. Parking also is available in the Baranoff Elementary lot across Gatling Gun Lane
  • Zoos: Respectfully ask that parents do not set up their chairs in age group tents (adjacent to the tents is great). Parents in tents, who are not Age Group Volunteers, make it harder for Ready Bench and others to know who to speak to
  • Spectators:Spectators are allowed to view from the pool deck from Baby pool side (Little Blue Rectangle seen in the link picture). We need to keep the Amenities Center cleared for moving swimmers from the Ready Bench to pool. Please no chairs on the deck as they end up blocking the movement of swimmers and spectators. There is space around the outside of the pool fence on the east and west sides to view from as well
  • Concessions:Concessions will be available at the Gazebo adjacent to the parking lot (north of the pool). SAAB will have coffee, other refreshments, and lunch concessions
