2024 Circle C Seals Seals Registration Information
Welcome to Circle C residents interested in learning more about our neighborhood summer swim team, the Circle C Seals!
2024 Registration and open team slots
Registration for returning families - and new siblings - will be open Saturday, Feb. 17 at 10am through Sunday, Feb. 25 at 10pm.To register, please see your email to obtain the link. We invite you to register your returning swimmers and any new siblings at this time. If you do not register during that window, you will have to register during the new swimmer (general public) registration window. Returning swimmers will not have to try out, though new siblings will need to (see below).
Registration for new families will be managed through our Circle C Seals website directly. After much discussion, the Seals board decided to move away from earlier registration methods (standing in line, lottery) because of the equity and administrative challenges presented by each.
During registration, team and age group capacity will be managed by the website, and we will maintain a waitlist once capacity limits have been reached. New family registration will open on Saturday, March 2 at 10am and close on March 5 at 10pm or when we reach team+waitlist capacity. Registration will be on a first come, first served basis, and we strongly encourage you to register early, as the team will fill up! To register, you will click on the green Register Now button on this website once the registration window opens at 10am on March 2.
Some important team notes:
- Age group sizes are capped to ensure a safe swimmer-to-coach ratio at all practices/meets and to comply with pool capacity guidelines
- Because of the number of returning swimmers, some age groups will only have a few available slots. Please set expectations accordingly (and be at your computer at 9:57am on March 2)
- Registration for new swimmers is for the individual swimmer and not for the family. For example, if you have two children, and there is only space in one of their age groups, the other child cannot register this season, but will be able to next season as a sibling of a returning swimmer
- We do have a managed waiting list, so please be sure to add your swimmers to this list if your age group is full
- Swimmers must be 5 by May 1, 2024, and Registration is for Circle C Residents only
Registration fees for the 2024 season will be $200 per swimmer. Fees for our optional Quick Starts program will be $60 per swimmer. As a reminder, Quick Starts is an optional preseason small group, swim refresher before the season starts. Swimmers attend four 30 minute sessions over two weeks. Space is limited. Please note coaches will not be in the water with swimmers during Quick Starts.
All new siblings and new family swimmers will have to successfully try out in order to complete their registration and payment. Tryouts will be held Sunday, March 24. Parents also must meet a minimum number of volunteer shifts at our team meets to remain in good standing.
New Suits for 2024: We will be having a new style of suits for 2024. You can order them from SwimFreak here (along with other gear) or visit their store at the Brodie Oaks shopping center on South Lamar if your kid needs a fitting.
