A HUGE thank you for the Tech Team for opening CHAMPS and for the work ahead to manage two meets at once. As you saw a few minutes ago, the cutoff for declaring your swimmer for CHAMPS is noon this Friday, June 14th. Please declare here for CHAMPS, June 22th as soon as possible. Swimmers must have a legal time to declare for that event.

For new parents (and us older parents who's memory isn't so good) you may be asking yoruself, what is CHAMPS? How long will I have to be there? It's hot, do I really need to sign my kids up? CHAMPS is the championship meet for the Capital City Swim Club for which the Seals are a member. The meet is a lot of fun and features all 8 teams in our league. It's the highlight of the season for many of our kids, an opportunity to participate in a large meet and I highly encourage you to sign your kids up and join us.

When and Where: Saturday, June 22, Round Rock Aquatics Center (2801 Gattis School Rd)

Timeline (all times approximate, Chuck will send final next week):

Session 1 - 10 and Under

• 6:45am - Swimmers Arrive and Check In
• 7:15am - Warmups
• 8:00am - Session 1 Begins
• 1:25pm - Session 1 Ends

Session 2 - 11 and Up

• 1:30pm - Swimmers Arrive and Check In
• 1:45pm - Swimmer Warm Ups
• 2:30pm - Session 2 Begins
• 7:40pm - Session 2 Ends

And, yes, If you have a kid under 10 and under and a kid 11 and older you're in for a VERY long day (take it from me). A much more detailed email will be coming from Chuck who is smarter and prettier than me (but has much less hair) next week.
