Let’s get ready for CHAMPS!
Our meet mantra will be focus, confidence, achievement! (Richard Spencer has pledged to wear his Rick Barnes commemorative Tennessee shirt to both support our Seals and honor Barnes' tradition of achievement.)

MODDING YOUR WHIP
Join our coaches and volunteers at Kiker Elementary on Thursday, June 19th from 4:30-6:00P to get your car bagged, slammed, kitted, and stanced.
What?
Car decorating for CHAMPS!!! Transform that janky hooptie to a fly ride worthy of your high rolling Seals. Our decorations are sure to build Seals spirit, intimidate opposing teams, and block all radar between Circle C and Round Rock!

The Seals are confident, having fun, and consistently impressing with their progress. As defending champs of ... CHAMPS ... Ivy's crew have our pod ready to rock as we head to ... er ... Round Rock.

THINGS WE KNOW
- VOLUNTEER! Champs is an all-hands-on-deck scenario. Even if you've hit your points requirement, or even if you're the partner/spouse/significant other of an exempt head parent, we need YOU! Additional note: access to the swimmer zoo (and the swimmers contained therein) will *only* be open to volunteers. If you have a swimmer attending Champs, please pick up a volunteer shift:
https://ccrseals.swimtopia.com/swim_meets/726565/shift_ assignment - Volunteer changes should be made before EOD Saturday (THIS SATURDAY). If you have any last minute changes, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Bethany Pendleton at ccsealsvolunteercoordinator
@gmail.com . - This will be the longest drive of the season, please allow for extra drive time and parking.
- Parking is on the east side of the RRISD pool please see the attached RRISD Cedar Ridge Campus Map. Please do not move cones. Cones are used for lifeguards, and to transport food and equipment. Recommend dropping your swimmer at the pool entrance and then continuing to parking. The walk from parking to pool for late arrivers begins somewhere near Killeen.
- It's Texas. It will be hot. We will set up extra tents for a Parent’s Zoo, but please feel free to bring: your own pop-up tents, umbrella chairs, fans, ice chests, and the patience of cat herders.
- As noted in the call for volunteers, parents will not be permitted in the swimmer zoo other than drop and departure. Please make sure your swimmer has everything they need: chair; goggles; water; snacks; money for food trucks. Please note that you will not be able to walk through the pool to get your child from the zoo when leaving.
- For safety and access reasons, there is a hard capacity limit for the pool. This limit is being strictly enforced. We encourage you to come and view your swimmers’ events, but respectfully ask that you return to the Zoo area when their event is concluded. :)
- Also for safety reasons, ONLY coaches, swimmers and select volunteers are allowed on the pool deck in the start and finish areas. And absolutely no photos or videos from directly behind the starting blocks
- The event order will be: 1. IM (fly/back/breast/free) / 2. Butterfly / 3. Backstroke / 4. Freestyle Relay / 5. Freestyle (point where many parents deliriously wonder, “Round Rock is north, shouldn’t it be cooler?”) / 6. Breaststroke / 7. Medley Relay (back/breast/fly/free)
- Starting blocks (optional) will be used for all individual events. They will NOT be used for all 10-and-under relays.
- Concessions: we will have a number of food trucks adjacent to the complex. The Aquatic Center does not have concessions. AGPs will be responsible for taking swimmers to purchase food, or parents may have food delivered to their swimmer via the zoo wrangler.

THE LAST PLEA TO DECLARE YOUR SWIMMERS
We are unable to alter heat sheets for CHAMPS, aside from cancellations. Any cancellations most acutely affect relays. Please let me know ASAP if there are changes to your schedule and you need to cancel your entry. Please copy Coach Ivy ([email protected]) and our tech team ([email protected]) on any cancellation notifications.

THINGS PEOPLE SAY OTHERS HAVE DONE TO AVOID 2 SESSIONS AT CHAMPS
1. Neighbors are hired to hide your cars in their garage overnight. In the morning, you shamelessly pretend that they were stolen. Guilt overwhelms you. Cars are miraculously returned to your driveway by repentant thieves just in time to get to Session 2.
2. Your entire home is draped in oversized tarps to simulate nighttime. Clocks are meticulously adjusted accordingly. You continually send your youngest children back to bed.
3. Straight up bribery for your older Seals: Electric Motorbikes, Gold Bouillon, Bitcoin, time to brood alone, in silence, without provocation of any kind by their parents.

SEALS SPIRIT 2025
Chuck once told me that when it comes to supporting Seals, "orange is better than bacon." Quite high praise for Richard's favorite color ...
Our friends at the Seals Store have assured us they can deliver your Seals items *in time for Champs* if you order right away! Do not delay! ORDER NOW!
***
AND THE MOST IMPORTANT THING
Have fun and scream your head off! It's your last chance to lose your voice in support of Seals!! Wear that laryngitis like a badge of honor at the Seals party on Sunday, June 22!!!
***
For perhaps the last time in 2025, thank you all for EVERYTHING ... and ...
GO SEALS!
