Important! Practice Schedule this week AND Coach Elli Talk

Seals Families!

It's Champs Week!

Please see the below info for our practice schedule this week, as well as information about a parent talk led by Coach Elli. Note the changes to our practices on Thursday and Friday.

Practice Schedule 6/17-6-20

Tuesday (Today!) 6/17: Practice as normal.

Wednesday 6/18: Practice as normal (with a surprise)

Thursday 6/19: NO PRACTICE. The pool will be closed for practice in honor of Juneteenth. Instead, we will have our annual Pre-Champs Car Painting party. Roll up to Kiker Elementary on Thursday any time from 4:30-6:00 PM to have your car Seal-ed out for champs. Families and swimmers are welcome to help coaches with car decorating.

Friday 6/20 (Important!): We will have an amended schedule for our practice on Friday to get our swimmers and coaches home early to rest before Champs. It is a totally optional practice. Friday will be less of a "Fun Friday" and more an opportunity to practice starts, turns, and sprints before the meet. Here is our practice schedule for Friday:

4:10-4:40 PM: 9-10s practice
4:45-5:15 PM: 8 and unders practice
5:20-6:00 PM: 11+ practice

Coach Elli Parent Talk (Wednesday, June 18)

Lastly, I wanted to remind everyone about a wonderful opportunity to attend a free parent talk by Coach Elli on Wednesday! (flyer attached). Don't miss this informative and engaging info session! Here's the details:

Want to help your kids reach their full potential, love their sport, and grow into healthy, well-rounded adults? Elli Overton founded Peak Parent Performance to support parents like you. Through 1:1 consultations, she helps you navigate common challenges—like keeping kids motivated, managing pressure, building strong routines, and handling both success and failure. Elli also speaks on these topics for sports organizations, booster clubs, schools, and more. Join Elli for a free talk on June 18 at 6:15 PM at the park next to the Circle C Swim Center (under the trees). She’ll explore how to build a healthy mindset around success and failure—key to helping your kids chase their dreams. A short talk will be followed by Q&A.

As always, please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions, comments, or concerns. The coaches and I are still processing that it's the last week of Seals. It has been a total joy to work with your kids.

Thank you,

Ivy
