ONE, TWO, THREE, FOUR
Good Morning, Team Seals!
We hope that you and your swimmers are excited for the official start of the season!!
The Timing Meet is our chance to work out the kinks, shake off the rust, and remember what it's like to operate a full blown meet (in a timely fashion).
Our theme for Saturday night is ORANGE PARTY!
PLEASE BE ADVISED that while we are monitoring the weather, we will hold the meet barring storms that would prevent us from swimming (i.e., lightning).
A full Meet Logistics email will follow later this week with all the details for Saturday night (start time at ~6:30PM). For now, I want to quickly bring four items to your attention.
***
ONE: Event sign-ups are open and will close WEDNESDAY at 7PM! That's tomorrow night! You can access the sign-up here: Click here to declare your swimmer
It is important to declare your swimmer(s)' status even if you won't be attending the meet. Get in the habit for the regular season!
- Results from the Timing Meet will be used to ‘seed the heats’ for our first official meet on Saturday, May 9th at Belterra!
- Because we're swimming under the lights and have over 300 swimmers this season, swimmers under 10 will be able to register for freestyle and backstroke. For Swimmers 11+, in keeping with the league standard, we will be limiting sign-up to three (3) individual events. We will not swim any relays.
- If your swimmer is not yet comfortable or not yet legal in a stroke, please do not enter them in the event. There is no rush for new/younger swimmers to participate in any event, especially those in which they are not comfortable. There are many opportunities for them to get a time throughout the season. Set your children up for success ... the Timing Meet is not the time to push their limits.

TWO: Swimmer Shirts, Swim Caps, and Yard Signs
Swimmer shirts and swim caps will be distributed at the Timing Meet. If you are not able to attend the Timing Meet, they’ll be available next week at practice. Do not fret. We will ensure your swimmers have the appropriate caps and swag.
If you ordered a yard sign during registration, you may pick that up at the Timing Meet as well. If you are unable to attend the timing meet, we will make other arrangements. Do not fret. We will ensure your yard has the appropriate swag.

THREE: ♫ CH-CH-CHANGES ♫
Due to extensive efforts by several of our highly committed parents (you know who you are, and we dearly appreciate you!), our Head Parent, Andrea, and our Board of Directors, Circle C Aquatics has agreed to several changes for our meets this year:
- We will have a clearly marked Spectator Zone (!!!) along the Escarpment fence line on the third terrace of the pool complex. Think of it like a zoo for parents between their swimmer's events.
- In this Spectator Zone, lawn chairs will be allowed! <<gasp!>>
- All lawn chairs *must remain* in the Spectator Zone. You will not be permitted to camp out by the pool deck. In fact, you will not be permitted to camp out anywhere. Please do not bring your own canopy tents.
- Similar to prior years, you may flow down to the pool deck to watch your swimmer's heat, then return to the Spectator Zone. This allows all families to see their swimmers in action!
- I must emphasize that despite this new Spectator Zone, we remain guests of Circle C Aquatics. Any and all instructions provided to you by a member of Circle C Aquatics staff must be followed. Failure to do so may result in the loss of said Spectator Zone.
- With the unfortunate closing of The Dive, we are proud to introduce our own, volunteer-operated Seals Snack Shack concessions stand! Swing by during the Timing Meet to preview this season's menu. We've stocked up on all your favorites to keep you and your swimmers fueled.
- New Season. New Swag. Check out our latest offerings at the Merchandise tent! Fresh designs will be available throughout the season to help you show your Seals Spirit in style!

FOUR: Season Kickoff Party!
The Timing Meet is always our quickest meet of the season, and this Saturday night will be no exception.
Once the last heat is finished, the party begins! Please join us in the park for a pizza party to celebrate the start of the 2026 season!! It's a great chance for new families to mingle and veteran families to catch up.
But Joel, Julia Child once said, "A party without cake is just a meeting."
Indeed. Thank you, Richard.
We will also have CAKE!

Thanks & Go Seals!
