Seals Clean Up Crew Notes - Saturday 5/9/26
Hello Seals Clean-Up Crew,
My name is George Dugan, and I lead the Seals clean-up efforts. I have two boys on the team—Jackson (14) and Carter (11). The best way to reach me is at (713) 299-1235.
The meet is projected to end around 1:30 PM. Since this is an away meet, it’s important to track progress on SwimTopia, as we do not control the pace of events.
We may be able to begin breaking down some items before the meet officially ends. As we approach the final events (around the start of the IM relay once heat sheets are posted), please make your way to the volunteer table—it is critical that you check in there.
If your child is swimming in the final IM relays, feel free to step away to watch them, then return to help with clean-up.
Clean-Up Goals
- Clear the “Zoo” (team tent area), including chairs, volunteer tables, and other equipment.
- Move all items to the designated pickup point, where we will work together to load trucks for transport back to our pool.
Tips for a Successful Clean-Up
- Use the buddy system: Pair up—some items are heavy, and it’s safer to work together.
- Stay aware and courteous: If spectators are nearby, kindly ask them to move if necessary for safety.
Thank you all for supporting the Seals and your swimmers. See you Saturday!
