MEET LOGISTICS: Saturday, June 6th vs. Western Oaks & Mueller
Saturday is our last home meet of the season! We are hosting the Western Oaks Dolphins and Mueller Manatees at 8AM!! Thank you for your patience and support in this sprint of a season!!!
**Make sure you read through to the end to find One-Eyed Willy's treasure!**

FIRST THINGS FIRST:
Event sign-ups are open and close on Wednesday at 6:00 PM CDT. TODAY. IN THREE HOURS! Declare your swimmer(s) here!
- We are limiting the number of individual events to three (3)
- As always, if there is any risk in your Saturday plans, do not sign up for relays. Rescheduling relays is as much fun as untangling your Thriller cassette tape with a pencil. AAOW!
- The event order will be: 1. IM (fly/back/breast/free) / 2. Butterfly / 3. Backstroke / 4. Freestyle Relay / 5. Freestyle / 6. Breaststroke / 7. Medley Relay (back/breast/fly/free)

MEET THEME:
What happens when an entire civilization collectively decides that more really is more, and subtlety is for cowards? You get the 80s, a decade of glorious excess. Hair styles were a competitive sport to achieve maximum vertical height, leveraging industrial quantities of Aqua Net. Once you committed, you committed.
Fashion operated on the principle that if you could still see someone's actual body shape, you hadn't tried hard enough. Shoulder pads turned the ladies to linebackers. The neon colors were so bright they could redirect aircraft.
And the music ... the glorious music. Artists discovered the synthesizer, made affordable and portable by Roland, Yamaha, and Korg. The synth was supposed to sound futuristic, yet nothing is more unmistakably 1985 than a Yamaha DX7.
Game shows in the 80s frequently featured people losing their minds over complete strangers winning a Cutlass Supreme. And the unheralded icon of 80s game shows? Family Feud, hosted by "The Kissing Bandit" Richard Dawson.

Break out the leg warmers, scrunchies, and acid washed jorts, cause we're going back! This week's theme (if you haven't guessed by now) is 80s! You've probably still got time to get that perm!! Let's do it!!!
AND ...
Parents, bring your swimsuits for a S.E.A.L.'s relay (following the freestyle relays)! That's Seriously Entertaining And Laughable. I think it's time for the 80s muscle tank relay!!
Please come to the DJ booth as the freestyle relays are finishing to register your team!

CAREFUL WITH THE POLAROIDS:
Once again ... there should absolutely be NO one on the deck directly behind the starting or finish area taking photos or video. This includes volunteers who are on deck.
Thank you for understanding. Snap and film to your device's limitations from the south side of the pool, or from the hillside (above the Ready Bench walkway).
Join our Circle C Seals Photos Facebook Group to share your photos and view excellent, live action images from Andrew Ong! Thank you so much, Andrew!!

THE FAST-SCROLLING INFOMERCIAL DETAILS:
- Volunteer changes should be made before Wednesday (today) at 6:00 PM. If you have any last minute changes, please contact our Volunteer Coordinators, Heidi & Katrina, at ccsealsvolunteercoordinator@
gmail.com - There is NO parking on Escarpment. Please park on LaCrosse, east of Escarpment. The CDC and Kiker parking lots are open to Seals families and our guests. Also: please do not park in the spots reserved for mail pickup
- Drop and pick-up in the Plaza Circle is also an option
- There is no playing in the sand (kids and adults), no littering, and no leaving without signing your child out. Seriously - do not put tent parents through the hassle of chasing down missing kids. Alert them that you have your child.
- We will have a clearly marked Spectator Zone along the Escarpment fence line on the third terrace of the pool complex. Think of it like a zoo for parents between their swimmer's events. In this Spectator Zone, lawn chairs will be allowed. All lawn chairs *must remain* in the Spectator Zone. In front of this Spectator Zone is a walkway that must remain open, per Circle C Aquatics staff. This will be clearly marked with blue cones. Please, no chairs in the blue cone walkway! You are also welcome to sit in the Circle C Park (just not in the Seals Zoo!). Once again, all lawn chairs *must remain* in the Spectator Zone. You will not be permitted to camp out by the pool deck. In fact, you will not be permitted to camp out anywhere. Please do not bring your own canopy tents. You may flow down to the pool deck to watch your swimmer's heat, then return to the Spectator Zone. This allows all families to see their swimmers in action! I must emphasize that we remain guests of Circle C Aquatics. Any and all instructions provided to you by a member of Circle C Aquatics staff must be followed. Failure to do so may result in the loss of said Spectator Zone.
