MEET LOGISTICS: Saturday, June 13th @ Travis Country
Good afternoon, Team Seals!
We are now fully in the home stretch. It's time for our last regular season meet!
This week, our pod of Seals travels to the Country of Travis to take on the Sharks. Many people think the neighborhood is named Travis Country for former resident Travis Kelce, but it's actually named for Richard's favorite music artist. These are the facts, and the facts are indisputable.
The meet will be held at the Hilltop Pool located @ 4100 Travis Country Circle, Austin, Texas 78735. Many questions can be answered at the Travis Country website.
Pack your patience first and foremost ... this will be a long one given TC's five lane pool and the sheer volume of swimmers. Additional items suggested: sunscreen, bug spray, water/electrolytes/hydration of your choosing, fans, etc.
*Please read to the end for a special announcement*

If you only do two other things this week:
- Give Richard a hearty pat on the back; AND
- Make sure to declare your swimmers before 6:00 PM CDT Wednesday (THAT'S TODAY, in ~ 4 hours). Declare your swimmer(s) here.
Please declare your swimmer's status for the meet, even if your swimmer will not be able to attend.
MEET ENTRY DETAILS
- We are limiting the number of individual events to three (3)
- If there is any risk in your Saturday plans, do not sign up for relays. You know the drill by this point of the season. Please don't put coaches and tent parents through rescheduling relays!
- The event order will be: 1. IM (fly/back/breast/free) / 2. Butterfly / 3. Backstroke / 4. Freestyle Relay / 5. Freestyle / 6. Breaststroke / 7. Medley Relay (back/breast/fly/free)

VOLUNTEER REMINDER
Any volunteer changes/additions should be made before the job sign up closes on Wednesday at 6:00 PM. If you have any last minute changes, please contact Heidi Varga and Katrina Woolery via email at ccsealsvolunteercoordinator
PLEASE NOTE: We have reached the point of the season where we REALLY need our Seals parents to step up! There are still jobs available for this weekend!!
You will be hearing from me next week again about CHAMPS, but volunteering at CHAMPS is the only way to access the deck and swimmer zoo!

OTHER ITEMS OF INTEREST
- Parking: There is only street parking at Travis Country. Please be careful not to block any driveways, intersections, crosswalks, or fire hydrants.
- Also note: Newly added NO PARKING signs have been posted along Republic of Texas on both sides of the street. You roll the dice with City of Austin enforcement of this restriction at your own risk.
- Spectators are welcome to set up chairs wherever they can find space that does not interfere with swimmer movement and safety (and NOT IN THE SEALS ZOO)
- Zoos: We again respectfully ask that parents do not set up their chairs in age group tents. Parents in tents, who are not Age Group Volunteers, make it harder for Ready Bench and others to know who to speak to.
- Parental Supervision is requested, however, and highly encouraged despite parents not actually being located in the Zoo. Please check in with your swimmers as available to ensure their well-being.
- Concessions Come hungry! The Shark Shack serves a full breakfast and lunch menu, beginning at 7am with Summer Moon coffee and amazing breakfast options, shifting to lunch options around 10am. They keep serving through the end of the meet. The Sharks try to have something for everyone including vegetarian and gluten friendly options. They also serve a variety of drinks, sweet and salty snacks, fruit, desserts, and popsicles. Please study the meet schedule to strategize on the best time to visit the concessions AND please let an AGP know whenever you are taking your swimmer on walkabout.
- One final reminder to sign out your swimmers from the AGP ... please do not have your swimmers just leave.

SEALS SILENT AUCTION (the special announcement)
We have launched our first ever SEALS SILENT AUCTION!
Each work of art up for bid has been generously donated by FOUR HANDS Furniture & Decor. ALL PROCEEDS DIRECTLY BENEFIT Circle C Seals! That's right!! Thanks to Zeffy, 100% of the profits come back to the team, allowing us to:
- Continue enhancing our technology (the new starter system this year, multiple timers in need of replacement)
- Continue replacing our worn out tents (the pool deck tents are now all orange!) Orange you glad our zoo tents will be orange in the future, too?
Spread the word, rally your friends and family, and get competitive! Winning bids will be announced at the end of season party on June 21st!

SEALS SPIRIT
By now you all know to wear any form of ORANGE. When orange is unavailable, go with BLACK. Bonus points for combinations of ORANGE and BLACK. If some enterprising Seals parent buys them, Richard has promised to wear these.
Additional note: avoid shades of red this week.

AND (BY FAR) THE MOST IMPORTANT THING
Cheer loudly and have fun! The Seals team community is like no other, and we show up for our kiddos like no other! I could not be more proud to be your Meet Director!
