MEET LOGISTICS: Saturday, June 20 @ CHAMPS
Good Afternoon, Team Seals!
This is it. Sound up! Let's get ready to rumble!!
Can you hear the trumpets? We've trained for this. One-armed push-ups at dawn. Sledgehammer swings in the dump. Jumping rope in a dusty barn. Tricep pressing bags of rocks. Log carries through feet of snow. Chest pressing carts of people.
CrossFit before CrossFit knew how to CrossFit!
Play the video on loop from now until Friday night! Your swimmer(s) will likely be confused, but you'll be mentally prepared!!

FIRST THINGS FIRST
As promised, if your swimmer gained a newly eligible time at the Travis Country meet, you are able to register for Champs for another 6ish hours. If you wish to register any new events for CHAMPS, please use THIS GOOGLE FORM.
We are unable to accept any additions after 6:00 PM Monday, June 15th. That is TODAY.
Say it with me: *WE CANNOT ACCEPT LATE REGISTRATIONS FOR CHAMPS*
ADDITIONALLY, if you know a swimmer is a scratch from an event at CHAMPS, please let us know using the form (there's a field at the bottom).

ALVIN NATHANIEL JOINER'S SHOW: SEALS EDITION
Join our coaches and volunteers at Kiker Elementary on Friday, June 19th from 4:30-6:00P to get your car slammed, skirted, wrapped, and candy coated.
What?
Car decorating for CHAMPS!!! Our decorations are sure to build Seals spirit, intimidate opposing teams, and block all radar between Circle C and Round Rock!
*THERE IS NO PRACTICE ON FRIDAY DUE TO THE JUNETEENTH HOLIDAY HOURS*

SEASON 3: THE THREEQUEL
What an amazing job Coach Ivy and her team have done once again!
The Seals are confident, having fun, and consistently impressing with their progress. Don't take my word for it: a whopping 250(!) swimmers dropped time last Saturday at Travis Country!
Please extend your thanks for all their efforts when you encounter one of our amazing coaches!

IMPORTANT NOTES FOR CHAMPS
New for 2026, we have an all-inclusive, updated website! Everything I would otherwise tell you about CHAMPS can be found here: https://ccsl.swimtopia.com/champs

- 7:35 AM - Event 1 to the Ready Bench
- 7:40 AM - National Anthem (Performed by our very own Audrey Weaver!)
- 7:45 AM - Meet Begins
- Session 2 Timeline:
- 12:45 PM - Age Group Parents Check In
- 1:00 PM - Swimmer Drop-Off; All Volunteers Check In
- 1:15 PM - Marshals, Starters, and Volunteer Coordinator Meetings
- 1:15 PM - Swimmer Warm Ups Begin
- 1:25 PM - On-Deck Volunteer Meetings (Meeting Locations)
- 1:40 PM - Swimmer Warm Ups End; IM to Ready Bench
- 1:45 PM - Senior Recognition followed by National Anthem
- 2:00 PM - Session 2 Begins
- The event order will be: 1. IM (fly/back/breast/free) / 2. Butterfly / 3. Backstroke / 4. Freestyle Relay / 5. Freestyle (point where many parents deliriously wonder, “Round Rock is north, shouldn’t it be cooler?”) / 6. Breaststroke / 7. Medley Relay (back/breast/fly/free)
- Starting blocks (optional) will be used for all individual events.
- Session 1 Timeline:
- VOLUNTEER! CHAMPS is an all-hands-on-deck scenario. Even if you've hit your points requirement, or even if you're the partner/spouse/significant other of an exempt head parent, we need YOU! Additional note: access to the swimmer zoo (and the swimmers contained therein) will *only* be open to volunteers. If you have a swimmer attending Champs, ESPECIALLY SECOND SESSION, and are able and willing to volunteer, please email Heidi & Katrina at [email protected].
- This will be the longest drive of the season, please allow for extra drive time and parking (which has changed for 2026)!
- New for 2026: Parking is only allowed in a marked space. Please consult the maps on the Champs Website for details.
- Please do not move cones. Cones are used for lifeguards, additional disabled parking, and to transport food and equipment.
- Please drop off your swimmer(s) at the pool entrance and then continue to parking. The walk from parking to pool for latest arrivers begins somewhere near Killeen. Once again, consult the maps to avoid tickets.
- It's Texas. It will be hot. We will set up a few extra tents for a Parent’s Zoo, but please feel free to bring: your own pop-up tents, umbrella chairs, fans, ice chests, and the patience of Ke$ha's backup dancers, one of whom bears a marked resemblance to Richard.
- As noted in the repeated calls for volunteers, parents will not be permitted in the swimmer zoo other than drop and departure. Please make sure your swimmer has everything they need: chair; goggles; water; snacks, etc. Please note that you will not be able to walk through the pool to get your child from the zoo when leaving.
- For safety and access reasons, there is a hard capacity limit for the pool. This limit is being strictly enforced. We encourage you to come and view your swimmers’ events, but respectfully ask that you return to the Zoo area when their event is concluded.
- Also for safety reasons, ONLY coaches, swimmers and select volunteers are allowed on the pool deck in the start and finish areas. And absolutely no photos or videos from directly behind the starting blocks
- Concessions: we will have a number of food trucks adjacent to the complex. The Aquatic Center does not have concessions. Parents may have food from the various trucks delivered to their swimmer via the zoo wrangler.
